Researcher of the Yugyd va National Park (Komi Republic) Alexander Malafeev wrote a book, several chapters of which he devoted to meeting and observing Bigfoot.

- I have always had doubts whether it is worth making this story public, - says Alexander Ivanovich. - Does Bigfoot want to become a public figure? I'm not sure … But, on the other hand, it seems to me that people should know: he really exists.

The first meeting

In 2000, Alexander Malafeev headed the research expedition of the Polar Ural Children's Ecological Center of Inta. The group worked on the territory of the Yugyd va national reserve.

- In the evening, the guys came running to me and said that not far from the tent camp, they found a strange large trail, - Alexander Malafeev recalls. - Let's go look. The found trail was imprinted about a hundred meters from the road. Impressed to a depth of about three centimeters, length - 43 centimeters. Nearby we find another trail, and then another and another! It was a bare foot print! And this creature clearly did not suffer from flat feet. We managed to make several frames. More that year, we did not feel any traces or signs of the presence of Bigfoot …

This is Love

The next meeting with Bigfoot happened two years later.

“How many stories have I heard that yeti kidnap beautiful girls,” says Malafeev. - In fact, they do not kidnap, but lure, try to fall in love with themselves. So Bigfoot tried to seduce our nurse, the beautiful Sveta.

Almost all members of the expedition guessed that the Yeti again decided to declare its existence. Many felt a strange and heavy look on themselves. At night near the tents there was a hoot, a chilling whistle.

- In our free time we went to pick mushrooms and berries, - says Alexander Ivanovich. - Nobody found anything. Only nurse Svetlana returned from the forest with a full basket. Then she said that it was as if someone was leading her. Walking through the forest: no mushrooms. And suddenly a picture emerges in my head: a birch grove is growing behind a near turn at a cliff, and there are redheads. She goes there and sees exactly the picture that was born in her head. It's the same with berries: none of us has ever met a ripe blueberry, but found Sveta. And while picking berries, I saw on the ground the prints of a human foot with three fingers. She also called them "trefoils". I listened to Svetlana, and at the very chill behind the collar. Then Sveta and I walked along the forest road to the camp - and it was all strewn with flowers. We looked at the stem: the flowers seemed to have been cut off with a sharp nail. So our loving yeti courted the girl. At night our nurse had a hysteria …

Bigfoot members of the expedition christened Vovochka - in honor of the teenager who was the first to see the yeti alive.

- I was tormented by the question: why does he have such a small leg? I got the answer six years later, when we met again and I saw footprints 60 cm long! Just in 2002, our Little Johnny was a teenager, and then grew up and matured. In 2008, he behaved aggressively: he dug holes near the camp, whistled. I always laid down to sleep near my tent: I could feel it by the sharp unpleasant smell, but I did not drive it away. Early in the morning Little Johnny disappeared. And only one girl could see him - Larissa, and even then in passing. Larissa noticed that Little Johnny had a dirty white coat. He allowed himself to be seen, and then gave Larisa a wonderful dream: as if she got married and gave birth to two children. And so it happened.

There are no such hares

From the testimony of Vladimir, a member of the Polar Ural ecological camp expedition, August 11, 2002.

“I've been doing meteorological observations all day. In the evening I went to my tent and suddenly felt that someone was watching me. This someone was in the bushes. I decided to highlight a place that seemed interesting to me. In a few seconds I saw an extraordinary beast. The animal itself looked like a hare, but its size (about 2 meters), movement speed (one jump - 4-5 meters) and even the distance that it covered in a few seconds (300 meters) made me suspect that it was not a hare, but someone else. The color is milky grayish, he did not make sounds. I moved like a hare, but since such hares do not exist, I realized that I had met an unknown animal that did not have a tail."

The existence of Bigfoot in the Yugyd Va National Park is taken absolutely seriously. His approach and smell were felt by many and heard a whistle. Here, in the taiga zone, where there is no connection with civilization, it is not customary to laugh at such topics: what if Bigfoot gets offended and decides to show people proof of his strength?

People come here, to the Subpolar Urals, for peace of mind. They live without light, go on hikes to conquer the peaks of local mountains, float down rivers. Until the end of the eighties, workers of the Pechora artel were looking for gold along the banks of the Kozhim River. It is said that the barrier before entering the territory of the artel was decorated with a sign "Here the Soviet power ends." Its creator, Vadim Tumanov, reigned supreme in "Pechora".

- Tumanov was friends with Vysotsky, built a summer house for the poet, brought everything he needed, - says the deputy director of the national park Elena Shubnitsina. - Vadim Ivanovich was sure that he could save him. Already bought a ticket for August. And in July Vysotsky was gone. Tumanov just barely had time.
