A Chinese tourist named Zhu, who disappeared on May 6, for information about whom his relatives were willing to pay 200,000 yuan (about 2 million rubles), returned home after 17 days of absence, People's Daily reports.

The man decided to go to the Heizhugou Nature Reserve, which is translated from the local dialect as "Death Valley".

Zhu was an experienced traveler and had good physical training - he went in for mountaineering, conquered all the surrounding peaks, and when he proposed to his bride, he climbed onto her balcony using the retractable ladder of a fire engine. Nevertheless, his return from Heizhugou in China is considered a miracle.

In the 60-kilometer zone, where magnetic anomalies were recorded and the compass does not work correctly, people also disappeared earlier. Even the GPS system did not help. So, in 2014, a group of five people went to the anomalous zone, three of them were missing. Later, the bodies of two people were found, and the team leader Li Jing is still being sought.
