Immediately we would like to warn people who cannot stand the sight of dead animals - there are such photos in the news.
In the early morning (around 6.30 am), the following photos appeared on the VKontakte social network:
Such a picture was discovered in her yard by the hostess of a house located in the Africa microdistrict. All but one of the rabbits were strangled. The locks on the cages in which they sat have been torn out. Some townspeople living nearby said that they recently found chickens in their yard, which they had bitten in a similar way.
Naturally, there were some fantastic ideas: some say snakes, some marten, and some generally think that an unknown beast, the Chupacabra, is wielding the city. By the way, these ideas have already appeared on the website of one of the city mass media.
We decided to reassure the public a little with the opinion of a person - a zoologist with experience - regarding this situation:
“There has never been any Chupacabra in the city, and it is doubtful that it will ever appear (smiles). Everything is much simpler: forest predators usually do this. Most likely it is a fox or a ferret. Yes, a ferret is quite capable of strangling a rabbit. It is also possible that it was an ordinary dog. As far as one surviving rabbit is concerned, everything is even simpler: he huddled somewhere or just ran away."
