The problem of food shortages is no longer relevant, according to representatives of the Israeli startup SuperMeat, which has developed artificial meat synthesized from the cells of birds, such as chickens. The technology, as its creators assure, will allow obtaining cheap and identical to natural meat without killing animals for this.

In order to launch full-scale production of its artificial meat, startup SuperMeat launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo website. The total cost of meat, according to the manufacturer, will be something around US $ 5 per kilogram. In the future, with an increase in production volumes, this price can be reduced.

The meat will be produced in special high-tech installations that mimic the body of a bird. The technology is so sophisticated that the consumer will hardly notice the difference between SuperMeat artificial meat and regular meat.

At the same time, SuperMeat meat is even better than regular meat, since at the production stage it can be enriched with additional nutrients and vitamins, bringing it closer to the semblance of an ideal meal. SuperMeat, as well as products like it, are the future of the food industry, experts say.
