An unidentified flying object interrupted for some time the operation of the airport in the city of Baotou in China's Inner Mongolia. The incident took place back in mid-September

The airport in the Chinese city of Baotou in Inner Mongolia province was closed on September 11 due to the appearance of an unidentified flying object (UFO) over it. The authorities ordered to stop takeoffs and landings: they feared that the aircraft could be damaged in a collision with a mysterious object.

The planes, already arriving from Shanghai and Beijing, were forced to circle over the airport for a long time until the UFO disappeared. Two other flights, awaiting landing at Baotou, were directed to the cities of Ordos and Taiyuan. Flights were not accepted and did not take off for about an hour.

Eyewitnesses said they saw a bright light in the sky over an area 2.5 to 3 kilometers from the airport. Suddenly this glow disappeared. A video soon appeared on the Internet, which allegedly filmed the appearance of an unidentified object. However, only a few flashes and spots of light are visible in the frame, so the majority of viewers were not convinced by this video that the aliens appeared over China.

This is the eighth UFO sighting in China since the end of June. For example, on July 8, Xiaoshan airport serving the city of Hangzhou had to be closed for an hour. Subsequently, however, authorities said the suspicious object found in the air above the airfield was an optical effect caused by military exercises taking place at a nearby airbase.

UFOs were also seen in the western Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on June 30, but now they believe that, most likely, training missile launches in service with the Chinese army were mistaken for alien objects.

The mysterious luminous objects that the astonished public in Sichuan have seen are, skeptics assure, just such popular kites in China, which are launched with illumination at night.
