Acquisition of a house or apartment is not such a frequent event for the overwhelming majority of Russians. They are seriously preparing for such a deal.

Even wealthy people who allow themselves time to change their home for a more comfortable one, treat the buying process with anxious and extremely attentive attitude. Interestingly, many potential buyers are suddenly very superstitious as they prepare to make a deal. It seems to them that otherworldly forces will save them from the unpleasant surprises associated with new housing. So a variety of signs are used.

It's all about the numbers

The most common superstition is the negative coming from the number 13. It is difficult to find a person who somehow does not show his displeasure if he is offered to buy an apartment under this number. Most often, as realtors say, even the most serious and educated people try to avoid such purchases.

Many are frightened by the number 6, and they would never agree to live in an apartment with a “six” in the room. The number 666 deserves special hatred.

Some are convinced that a deal should not be made on the 13th, and there is nothing to say about "Friday the 13th" - everyone knows that this is an unlucky day! Sometimes superstitions spread to Monday and other days.

Sometimes this superstition turns into another side. For example, as one realtor said, a potential buyer was looking for an apartment, in the room of which there must be an eight. If she was persuaded to at least look at other options suitable for all other parameters, the woman categorically refused to even approach the “wrong” apartments.

As it turned out, such advice was given to her by a personal astrologer. According to the woman, so far all his recommendations have only benefited her - obeying the astrologer, she has established her personal life and began to earn good money, so she treated his words with attention.

Many people want to live without fail in an apartment at number 3 or 7, while others have their favorite numbers 5 or 9. What can you do - people often believe that the right number will bring them good luck. An experienced realtor will always be able to negotiate even with the most capricious and superstitious client.

Cardinal points, cats and the vicinity of the cemetery

Sometimes it comes to the ridiculous: a respectable client in an expensive suit comes to inspect the apartment with a vine frame or a compass. For what? To determine which side of the world is the bedroom, and which is the kitchen, because this is very important for the teaching of feng shui! And the frame will help determine if there is an abnormal zone in the apartment …

One lady, the director of a large company, happily signed the documents for the purchase of a new comfortable apartment. And a month later she began to call the realtor and complain that she was haunted by the brownie … What was it - a nervous breakdown, superstition, or, in fact, the woman experienced the influence of an unknown force?

She, almost crying, insisted that the brownie was making noise at night in the kitchen, dropping pans, shuffling and sighing in the bedroom. In the end, the realtor, having rummaged through the Internet, half jokingly, half seriously, advised the lady to “cajole” the restless brownie with sweets. And she did it! All extraneous sounds disappeared, the lady began to live peacefully in a new apartment.

Rarely does anyone agree to live near the cemetery, claiming that negative energy comes from the burial site. Considering that in large cities most of the residential buildings are built on the site of former cemeteries, it is difficult for such clients to find a suitable object …

Some, coming to inspect the apartment, take a cat with them. The animal is the first to cross the threshold, and potential buyers are watching closely: how will it behave? Calm and serene? You can buy! Will she start to get nervous and meow? No way - there must be ghosts or other anomalies in the house!

And how abroad?

If we laugh at such superstitions most often (to oneself, of course), then in many other countries they are taken very seriously.

For example, in America it is rare to find the 13th apartment and even the 13th floor: in violation of all mathematical laws, the number 12 is immediately followed by 14. This is how developers try to please the tenants. Maybe this cunning move makes sense: it has been proven that in Russia apartments on the 13th floor are selling worse than even on the first and last floors.

And in Europe this tendency is quite widespread: even in many hotels there are no 13 rooms and the 13th floor is skipped. The same applies to the unlucky six.

Realtor experience works wonders

Persuading a superstitious client is a matter of honor for a true professional. Although many realtors themselves are not alien to some superstitions. For example, they know for sure that some apartments are in an “unhappy” location, otherwise why do deals with them always fail?

One woman, who introduced herself as a psychic, barely crossed the threshold of the apartment, immediately said: “I won't buy it! At least ten people died here, bad energy. " The realtor, who was not bewildered, immediately replied: "What do you want, the house is old, in the entrance there are mostly pensioners, of course, several generations have managed to live here."

Perhaps other anomalies can be explained just as easily. The main thing is not to dwell on "unusual" manifestations, but to try to find a materialistic explanation for them.
