Given how many people are involved in their production, it would be weird if there weren't films and TV shows that feel cursed

A good example of the "Poltergeist" trilogy is that four of its stars died before the release of the last film. The same is true of the Superman film series.

However, by any standard, the Bulgarian TV show Fatherland Front, which can be translated as “internal front,” is experiencing a real “black streak”. The format of the program is simple: through a series of field interviews, presenter Martin Karbowski introduces to the audience a number of ordinary people who have experienced unusual (and not always happy) stories. Imagine a darker version of That's Life, or a decent version of Eurotrash, and you get Fatherland Front.

However, over the past two years, at least six heroes of the program have died shortly after taking part in it. The first was a particularly unpleasant type - a former criminal nicknamed "Rose", who died a few days after the interview with him was filmed. On this occasion, there were rumors about black magic. Next was an 85-year-old woman named Gena, who told Karbovsky that her legs had been eaten by dogs - she died in her sleep.

Further, the victim was Ivanka Arsova, the 62-year-old owner of the icon of the Mother of God with the Child that was supposedly crying with real tears, which became an object of pilgrimage. Undiagnosed cancer killed her. Shortly before that, she said that a stranger came to her and said that God was calling her.

Last month brought the strangest case in this series, when the witch doctor Khalil Baev died in a fire that destroyed his home. They managed to save Baev, and he would have survived if he had not returned to the house to try to get his black cat out. The Nova TV channel, which broadcasts Fatherland Front, claims that it is aware of the alleged curse and is "investigating what is happening."
