The development of civilization directly depends on technical progress. No one is surprised by the introduction of computer technology in various industries. The process of cybernetization of humanity is gradually taking place.

At the moment, unmanned aerial vehicles are being developed that will transport people around the city, fly between continents and swim in the ocean. Anti-globalists are sounding the alarm and demand to ban or suspend the introduction of computers in various branches of human life.

What happens if artificial intelligence is increasingly introduced into the daily life of humanity? Suddenly robots will decide that humanity is the irrational source of all kinds of problems. A pragmatic "artificial intelligence" can make a logical decision, get rid of the source of problems, simply by destroying humanity.

The latest technology: the dream of humanity

Throughout their history, people have striven to create devices that facilitate work. The invention of the wheel was one of the first leaps of humanity into the high-tech future. Thousands of years have passed since that time and now people create unique computer systems and high-precision mechanisms, but the thirst to create something more perfect has not left humanity.

For example, Japanese designers have been developing unmanned seagoing ships for several decades. According to preliminary estimates, such devices will go to sea by 2020.

University of North Carolina professor Paul Franzon supports his overseas colleagues. After all, the idea of self-driving ships will make it possible to level the human factor as a source of various breakdowns and accidents. Robots don't get tired, don't get distracted, don't hover in the clouds. This will save shipping companies billions of dollars. Such simple arithmetic interested not only the Japanese. Corporations from all over the world have started to invest in similar projects.

Among them is the Vice President of the International Mining Company Hugh McKay. He said that his company transports millions of tons of ore every year. The costs of transporting raw materials for the company are enormous. The company's management plans that smart ships will help predict possible breakdowns and eliminate them in advance.

It seems that the development of such a project is quite promising and should bring huge profits. The unmanned ship will navigate the ocean using radar, laser, satellite and an autopilot program. At the first stages of "running in" the new technology, the ship's captain will also find work. He will monitor the operation of automatic systems from the shore. Also, the captain will perform complex manipulations, pass narrow straits or direct the process of entering the port. Hugh McKay is confident that his company will be able to switch to unmanned cargo transportation within 10 years since the launch of the first semi-automatic vehicle.

Meanwhile, the world's first robotic cargo ship is under construction for the Norwegian fertilizer manufacturer. It will be powered by electric motors powered by batteries. Its tests are already underway, and launching is planned in the next few months.

Marine engineer David Koppenhacker is confident that by mid-2019 the ship, which is being built in Norway, will become completely automatic. The need for a team when performing maneuvers of varying complexity will simply disappear.

Already, dozens of hotels have been opened in Japan, where robots and others work at the reception. In other words, the process of robotization of the world has been launched.

Unmanned Marine Ships: A Pipe Dream?

It is quite easy to program a robot to perform the simplest operations, but it is difficult to create intelligence that can make independent decisions in difficult situations.

Skeptics predict that the ship will crash on the harsh sea realities. Humanity does not possess the technologies that allow a computer to carry out complex calculations, take into account several dozen constantly changing input values.

There is no such powerful processor that will allow you to quickly and efficiently carry out all calculations and simulate situations. Even when the spacecraft is launched, operators from the Earth control all the processes and actions of the automatic system. Although putting the planet into orbit takes everything for only 15 minutes. What to say about the technology, which should spend several weeks on the high seas on its own? The result is only one ship will sink.

Danger to humanity?

Do robots pose a danger to human civilization? With this question, one should not immediately present fragments from the film "The Terminator". The danger is rather economic. The robot does not sleep, does not eat, does not require days off, it is a more profitable employee than an ordinary person. Imagine a large-scale introduction of robotics into manufacturing. There will be no place for an ordinary person in a robotic economy. This will lead to enormous social stratification. A class of wealthy oligarchs will stand out, who will concentrate production and the class of the poor of the world's population in their hands.

As a result, crime will begin to grow with all the negative consequences. The oligarchic government will have to impose some kind of order with tough methods or, as an option, create special isolated places where to drive people out of work so as not to pose a threat to the oligarchic society.

Such ghettos will become a kind of real jungle for humans, poverty will be catastrophic, morality will be destroyed, people will turn into animals that will satisfy exclusively their needs, which will ultimately lead to the complete degradation of such ghettos. As a result, an unnecessary part of the population will be destroyed, which will not be able to fight for survival.
