Warmer air can hold more moisture, which leads to more rainfall. At positive temperatures, this causes heavy rainfall, at sub-zero temperatures, record snowfalls.
Climatologists warn: we live in a world where climatic anomalies and sudden temperature changes are the “new norm”. In some regions it is getting drier, in others unprecedented hurricanes and downpours are raging.
According to scientists, all this is far from harmless. Temperature drops are pressure drops that are dangerous for meteorological people, causing exacerbation of allergies, heart, nervous diseases, and problems with the respiratory system. They also damage agriculture, as plants and animals also suffer from fluctuations that disrupt the usual development cycles and affect yields.
Scientists are especially worried by the fact that due to climate change, the number of extreme weather events is increasing - in recent years there were more than 500 of them every year. Each of these phenomena is a threat to human life and health and serious economic damage.
