American astrophysicists have named the main cause of mass extinctions on the planet. In the course of long observations of some cosmic phenomena, it turned out that it is Planet X that is the cause of all the troubles. The research results are published in the scientific journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
Scientists at Arkansas State University have determined that the key reason for the mass extinction that occurs on the planet every 25 million years is the approach of Planet X to the Kuiper belt. A space object leads to gravitational disturbances due to which comets are pushed out of the Kuiper belt into the interior of the solar system.
Such actions lead to the fact that comets crumble to other planets and block access to sunlight. Scientists have not hidden that a large celestial body has never been detected by the orbiting space station Hubble or other telescopes, but scientists are convinced that Planet X still exists.
