Cryonics is concerned with preserving bodies at extremely low temperatures, with the subsequent goal of "defrosting" them at a certain moment in the future, when a "second life" will become possible. This process is also called cryopreservation. It is worth noting that today it is impossible to revive the bodies of people and animals frozen before, science is not yet able to realize the hopes of those who once gave themselves at the mercy of deep cooling.
Cryogenics sounds similar, but it means something completely different. This is a field of science that studies the state and change of substances exposed to low temperatures. The study of liquefied gases at temperatures below -70 ° C is cryogenics; freezing your own brain in the hope that in a hundred years there will be a way to revive it - this is cryonics.

It would seem that freezing the body is not so difficult, it is enough to find a large freezer. But not everything is so simple! In modern cryonics, there are a number of steps and requirements that must be met in order to successfully freeze your body for future generations.
1. Accumulate a sufficient amount. To freeze the brain, 80 thousand dollars is enough, and to freeze the whole body, 200 thousand are needed. But that's not all, “renting a refrigerator,” or membership as practitioners call it, costs about $ 700 a year until revitalization is possible.

3. The body must die. Yes, oddly enough, this is a requirement that cannot be bypassed or bypassed. Today, it is completely illegal to freeze a living creature, even if this creature gives full informed consent, being in its right mind and firm memory. You can't freeze a person alive!
