A furniture store in Waco, Texas, boasts a rather bizarre item that has attracted curious customers for ten years - a haunted sofa!
A rather cute sofa was brought to the store back in 2007 by a man who claimed that after buying it, eerie paranormal phenomena began to occur in the house. According to the man, kitchen cabinets began to open and close by themselves, and an inexplicable smell of sulfur appeared in the house.
The man was so annoyed by these incidents that he finally returned the sofa to the store and said to the owner: “I don’t want me to have it. Take it away."
Although the store initially tried to sell the sofa, in 2007 a TV show appeared that told about this strange story. Since then, curious visitors have flocked to the store, some of whom, who dared to sit on the couch, talked about malfunctions of their mobile phones. And two store employees who moved him from place to place were in car accidents.
The couch currently has a sign warning customers that they can “touch the couch at their own risk!”.
It might be assumed that this is just a clever marketing scheme, however, the sofa may have a truly sinister history. There is a large blood stain under its soft pillows, and there is a bullet-like hole on the back of the couch.
The ghost couch has proven so popular that the store now refuses to sell it and even turned down an offer from a very generous buyer who wanted to unfasten $ 3,000 for the haunted couch.
