Milk, rice, fruits … The usual products in our kitchen. But how much do we know about their ability to treat serious illnesses, enhance intelligence and even make us kinder and more honest?

Once, walking around the former VDNKh, I lingered in the 71st pavilion, at the stand of the Indian firm Ganga. I needed some condiments, and I was not going to stay there long. But the smiling salesman dropped, as if in passing, a few phrases, and I didn't feel like leaving …

Turmeric is a herb that belongs to the Ginger family, a genus of Turmeric. The beneficial properties of the product have been known for a long time, oriental medicine has used this spice as a medicine, and modern scientific medicine is actively studying the possibility of using individual components of turmeric to fight malignant neoplasms.

“If you know how to make a mixture, you can“fix”diabetes in a month,” the seller was sorting through cellophane bags with ginger, cinnamon, asafoetida. - Turmeric treats hepatitis and stomach ulcers. Cinnamon saves you from obesity. Ginger raises immunity, removes mucus from the body. Fennel improves vision. And if you throw five veins of saffron into a glass of milk, no Viagra is needed. People go to doctors, go broke on fancy medicines. And all this was known five thousand years ago. This is Ayurveda …

That's when I decided to seriously get acquainted with this teaching. The first result was achieved in the midst of a flu epidemic, adding ginger and turmeric to oatmeal every morning. Not one of my acquaintances in those days fell down with a temperature, and I didn't even have a cold.

Energy of love against technical progress

A skeptic will say: "Why do we need Ayurveda, this is something Indian, alien to us." And it will be fundamentally wrong. Ayurveda has almost nothing to do with India. It's just that they were able to preserve it there to this day, and its roots are much farther north.

Pomors-Old Believers kept the legend that on the territory of the modern Arctic there was a civilization of highly spiritual people, capable of clairvoyance and knowing the principles of the evolution of consciousness. “Those who lived behind the north wind”, they called themselves Aryans, believed that a person, as a particle of the Universe, can find happiness if he can open his heart, and that his purpose is to multiply and strengthen the energy of love. Only she contributes to true progress and helps to exist in harmony with other types of life. According to legend, the Aryans did not need writing, since their brain was able to memorize huge amounts of information. The power of spirit and correctly tuned thought replaced any technical device with it.

Asafoetida is a spice practically unknown in Europe. Has a pronounced garlic aftertaste, which increases significantly when heated. It is added in small quantities, it is mainly used in the cuisine of the peoples of the East, in particular, in tomato chutneys, rice and lamb dishes. Asafoetida is obtained from the resinous juice flowing from the incised roots of plants of the Ferula genus. Asafoetida is well known not only as a spice, but also as a medicine. It is an excellent antispasmodic and pain reliever.

At the same time, in the area of the modern equator, in the Indian Ocean, on the mainland, which had gone under water in time immemorial, a civilization opposite to Hyperborean developed. Scientists call it Lemuria, ancient Indian treatises - Dravids. The Lemurians, or Dravids, did not recognize the participation of God in earthly affairs and did not seek a way to him, deifying the person himself, in every possible way developing his mind and abilities. For a number of parameters, they were stronger than the Hyperboreans, especially in the field of technical progress.

Thousands of years ago, they possessed the technology of air and space flights, knew how to do the most complex surgical operations for organ transplants, and even grew lost limbs, affecting certain points at the level of the central nervous system. But excessive pride and a strong dependence on technology to the detriment of the development of the spirit led Lemuria to disaster. According to some reports, only the island of Madagascar remained from their continent in the Indian Ocean. The Lemurians migrated to Southeast Asia, partly to Australia, Indonesia and North Africa, where they created the Egyptian civilization.

The cosmic catastrophe was caused either by the collision of the Earth with a large comet, or by the collapse of a planet located between Jupiter and Mars. Parts of this celestial body were first attracted by Mars and inflicted "damage incompatible with life" to it, and later reached the Earth. Due to the greater mass and thickness of the atmosphere, in which many debris burned, the Earth survived, but climatic zones shifted on it and a sharp cooling began.

They came together …

Europe and part of Asia were covered by a glacier, and the Ural ridge became the only route along which the Hyperboreans migrated south, to places more suitable for life. Their main branch settled in the mountainous regions of the Northern and Southern Urals. They could not settle on the plains, since huge swamps formed on both sides of the ridge.

"Pervouralians" had to learn to roam and hunt, food changed: they switched to heavy proteins of animal food, as a result, their human nature began to change, become coarse, "grounded". They could no longer hold in their memory a large amount of information, like their ancestors.

This is how writing arose, the Vedas were born. The Aryans defended themselves from the enemies that swarmed the swamps surrounding the Urals - poisonous snakes, giant insects and man-eating creatures, in Sanskrit - Rakshasas, whom modern anthropologists, for example B. A. Didenko, are called relict hominids. These huge erect primates possessed powerful intuition and the ability to hypnosis, were able to “avert their eyes”, instill powerlessness in the victim, and scan their thoughts and intentions. To protect themselves, the settlers had to become warriors. They destroyed almost all Rakshasas, and some of them tamed, so that the descendants of those primates may live among us, not differing in anything except the unique ability to suppress the will of others, a predisposition to violence and a passionate desire for power.

Having reached the Asian territories, the Aryans met with the descendants of the Lemurians, who migrated to meet them. For a long time, conflicts flared up between two so dissimilar civilizations, turning into wars. The ancient Indian epic "Ramayana" tells how the troops of the Aryan commander Rama stormed the cyclopean cities of the southern race. Perhaps, then, in the region of the Thar desert and the city of Mohenjo-Daro, weapons similar to nuclear ones were used.

Think good

Fortunately, both civilizations had enough reason to understand that the planet is one for all. The time has come when the wars began to subside and the peoples united, choosing the fertile Indian subcontinent as their main place of residence. The new civilization was named Bharata-Varsha.

There were plenty of sages with intimate knowledge both among northerners and southerners. They shared it, passed it on to each other in the form of oral tradition, and in 3600 BC. Vivas, the high priest of the Aryan fortress city of Troy in Asia Minor, wrote down the oral teaching and lifted the ban on its inviolability. By 1400 BC. the secret knowledge was systematized and written down using the alphabets "drakhmi" and "devana-gari". This was the old sacred Sanskrit, where the number one was called "adi". two - "two", three - and it was "three"; mother is mat, family is family, fire is agni.

The Aryan priests created the Long Life Knowledge system, in Sanskrit long life is "ayu", and "Veda" is knowledge.

The thoughts of people are material, the sages taught. With thought, energy is thrown out, which depends on you. If you think about evil, you destroy people around you, you destroy yourself. If you commit murder in your thoughts, it can happen in the world, since a spiritually weak person will tune in to your "wave" and kill another, and perhaps you. To prevent this, a culture of thought is needed. Thinking about good, praying or meditating, we send blessings to the world, we create an antidote to evil.

The vital activity of the body in Ayurveda is considered through the interaction of three substances: air, fire and water (the carriers of which in the body were considered prana, bile and mucus). Health is seen as the result of a balanced ratio of three substances, the correct fulfillment of the natural functions of the body, the normal state of the senses and clarity of mind, and illness is seen as a violation of these correct ratios and the negative impact on a person of the five elements (seasons, climate, indigestible food, unhealthy water, etc. etc.).

The basic elements - ether, air, water, fire, earth - manifest in the human body as three fundamental principles, or attributes, known as the Three Doshas. These are Vata (ether and air), Pitta (fire and water) and Kapha (water and earth). Western medicine, allopathy, calls them constitutions and temperaments, but Ayurvedic concepts are deeper and broader.

Vata is the biological manifestation of the cosmic energy of prana in the physical body. These are all the processes of movement, breathing, blood circulation, muscle contraction, sweating and the growth of the organism itself in childhood and adolescence.

People who have strong Vata are thin, with thin bones, dry skin, nervous and restless, and get tired quickly. But they are also strong in creativity, mobile, they have a vivid imagination. "Vatovtsy" are carriers of the most ancient souls incarnated on Earth. The rest of the people find it difficult to understand them, they are "not entirely of this world." Paganini, Andersen, Van Gogh were clearly "Vatovtsy".

If Pitta dosha prevails in a person, it means that you have a purposeful ambitious person, collected, punctual, sober. But, losing his temper, he becomes irritable and aggressive, always blames others for everything. People with strong Pitta follow their path fanatically and want others to follow. The reserve of their internal energy is colossal. This is the type of missionaries, scientists, military men. In history, these are Benvenuto Cellini, Jeanne d'Arc, Martin Luther, Bonaparte.

In the old days, it was believed that fennel has a strong effect on the restoration of vision and treated cataracts, conjunctivitis. Fennel can be used to make many dishes

Kapha-type are hypersthenic people, "loose", not malignant, it is difficult to move them. "Kaphovets" is a good family man, he is a homebody, a conservative, his beliefs are fundamental, he is stable and down to earth. Krylov, Churchill, and Oblomov, a literary hero with an overdeveloped Kapha, fit this type.

The meaning of Ayurveda is that all the Three Doshas of a person are balanced, not overpowering one another. A super-strong "Vatovet" will end up with incurable melancholy, a person with an excess of Pitta will become a fanatic with all the consequences, and with an overdeveloped Kapha, as I said, Oblomov.

Food for brain

Everything that surrounds a person affects him. As a person is, such is his environment. And if you want to change something in yourself, you need to change the environment. Or, conversely, change yourself in order to change the environment.

According to Ayurveda, there are products that can become medicines, the so-called blissful, or happiness-giving. They are able to get out of depression, give physical and spiritual strength. And there are products of ignorance that reduce the spiritual qualities of a person, harming the mind and health. These include, for example, mushrooms and meat products.

A person needs certain food, because his mind and psyche require the necessary components. What constituents of character are consumed the most, such food is required. Switching from one diet to another is very difficult, because by changing his menu, a person gradually changes his character. If you eat foods that bring happiness, you can become more optimistic, kinder, and develop these character traits in yourself. Eating blissful foods, one can become a sage, and eating foods of ignorance, one becomes feeble-minded.

The best product of goodness is milk, but not pasteurized, but steam. But you can't get it in the city. One of the more blissful foods available is cheese, but there is one subtlety here. If the cheese contains fermented milk or a milk-clotting agent of microbial origin, it complies with Ayurvedic standards, if rennet is indicated, then no. Ayurvedic cheeses include Adyghe and Oltermani.

White rice is the most commonly consumed food of goodness in Ayurveda. By eating rice, a person becomes more honest and harder, rice contributes to longevity. It is especially beneficial for the Vata and Pitta people, and when consumed in moderation is also suitable for Kapha. One of the best rice additives is turmeric, which heals a person from such vices as anger, depression and envy. If a person is greedy, too indecisive and prone to depression, he should add red and black pepper, ginger, asafoetida and the same turmeric to his food.

The vividness of the imagination and the sharpness of the reaction will help to develop ginger, cinnamon and red pepper. The same pepper, ginger and asafoetida increase intelligence. Coriander, saffron, turmeric and fennel can make a person kinder and more tender. Apples make a person more honest, and raspberries give him optimism. Don't believe me? Check for yourself.
