The story of the kidnapping of a certain Brazilian farmer was first brought to the attention of the English-speaking world in the 1965 Flying Saucers Review. It was based on a report by Dr. Walter Bachler of Rio de Janeiro, who interviewed the man in 1961. Bahler provided editor Gordon Creighton with a copy of the man's statement and a medical report written by Dr. Olavo Fontes. These documents are dated February 22nd.
Antonio Villas Boas usually ran the family farm near the town of Francisco de Sales.
He was half American, half Portuguese. By the age of 23, this guy had only a primary education, but he was raising it in correspondence courses. He was later assessed as a fairly reasonable person.
SILVER Glow
On the night of October 5, 1957, a family celebration was held in the house, then Antonio and his brother Zhao, with whom he lived in the same room, went to bed: it was about 11 pm. Antonio opened the window, because the night was very hot, and then he saw that the whole courtyard was bathed in a silvery glow. At first the brothers did not pay attention to this, but in the end Antonio's curiosity overcame, and he again went to the window.
According to his observations, the light moved towards their house. He slammed the shutters and woke his brother. Young people began to observe the light penetrating through the wooden planks and moving to the roof. Nine days later, between 9:30 pm and 10:00 pm, the brothers worked in the fields with a tractor.

They were suddenly struck by an intense bright red light at the north end of the field, which was about 300 feet above the ground. Zhao remained where he was while Antonio drove the tractor to the lighted area. As he got closer, the light immediately shifted to the southern part of the field.
Antonio followed him there, but the glow quickly moved to its original position. So they “played hide and seek” twenty times. Tired, Antonio surrendered and returned to Zhao. The light remained for some time over the field, pulsing occasionally.
A CAPTIVE OF THE FOREIGNERS
The next night Antonio worked alone on the tractor. At exactly one in the morning, he saw a large red "star" in the sky. Suddenly the light became more intense and suddenly rushed down towards the young man. A moment later, the object was directly above him, emitting such a bright light that it overwhelmed the tractor headlights. Everything came from a red "head spotlight" installed in the front of the ship.
The farmer thought about how to escape, but he really realized that the speed of the tractor would not allow him to do it. It will also not be possible to escape along the viscous dug earth. As he contemplated all this in fear, the ship sank and was now a few feet above the ground. The farmer could now see it in detail.
“I clearly saw the shape of the aircraft, which resembled a large oblong egg with three metal spurs in the front (one in the middle and one on each side). There were also three metal rods, thick at the base and pointed at the ends. I could not distinguish their color, as everything was shrouded in a bright reddish glow …"
On top of the car, something was spinning at great speed and also emitting a strong fluorescent reddish light. The moment the ship slowed down to land, the light took on a greenish tint, which, in my opinion, corresponded to a decrease in the speed of rotation of the propeller, which took the form of a round saucer or flattened dome.
“Then I saw three tripod-like metal struts appearing at the bottom of the ship as it hovered a few meters off the ground. Here I completely lost the remnants of self-control. These metal legs undoubtedly took on the entire weight of the apparatus as soon as it landed. Since the tractor engine was still running, I turned it to the side, trying to get away.
But the tractor stopped after a few meters, as the engine stalled and at the same time all lighting was turned off. I tried to start the engine again, but the starter showed no signs of life."
Antonio opened the tractor door, jumped down and started to run. Suddenly, someone grabbed his arm. In despair, the farmer rushed, managing to unbalance the pursuer, but three more unknown persons grabbed him and lifted him into the air. These creatures were up to his shoulder.
They were dressed in gray, tight-fitting coveralls with helmets that obscured all features of their faces, except for the eyes, which were visible through thick lenses.
They were also wearing boots, gloves, three tubes stretching from the back of the head to the body. Antonio tried to resist, but to no avail. He was taken aboard the ship.
Inside, he found himself in a small square room, which was as bright as day and which was illuminated by square lamps mounted on a metal ceiling. The door was closed so tightly that he did not even notice the cracks in the wall where she was. One of the kidnappers ordered the guy to proceed to the next room.
“We left the small room and went into a much larger, semi-oval shape. I believe that this room was in the very center of the ship, as in the middle from floor to ceiling was a metal column, wide at the base and slightly narrower at the top in the middle.
It had a round cross-section and seemed to me quite sturdy. The only furniture I saw was an oddly shaped table against the wall, surrounded by several backless swivel chairs. It was all made of the same white metal."
PREPARATION FOR SEXUAL CONTACT
The creatures looked at the young man in the room, communicating among themselves in a language resembling barking. Then he was forcibly stripped, covered his body with a thick, quickly dried liquid.
Two brought Antonio to another room, where they took blood from him through a long tube. Then they left him alone, and he lay down on the gray sofa to rest. Suddenly, the young man felt severe nausea and noticed that steam was coming out of several pipes on one of the walls. Antonio retreated to a corner where he vomited.
After a while, a beautiful nude woman entered the room. She had blond hair and a face with wide cheekbones, a pointed chin, elongated blue eyes, and thin lips. The stranger had rather wide and large hips.
The woman went up to Antonio and began to gently shake him. The farmer woke up and had sexual intercourse between them twice. Antonio generally liked the episode, although it was almost ruined when the woman suddenly started grunting. He had an unpleasant sensation.
After intercourse, the door opened, and the "man" who appeared on the doorstep ordered the person to leave the room. "But before leaving, she turned to me with a smile, pointed at me and her belly, then raised her eyes to the sky."
This meant that the woman informed Antonio that she was going to carry and give birth to their child on her home planet. The "girl" left, then another creature brought clothes to Antonio and motioned for him to get dressed. He was taken back to the central room, where several beings were now.
They talked about something among themselves. Antonio decided to take an object that resembled a watch, which would serve as proof of such an unusual adventure. But Antonio could not take it, as the item was taken from him.
In the end, the abducted person was taken outside, he was given a diagram of the ship, in which certain details were marked. He was then returned to the field and the ship flew away. He was on board for 4 hours and 15 minutes. The young man did not tell anyone about this incident except his mother. He then contacted journalist Jao Martinez, who was writing articles about UFOs.
SYMPTOMS OF RADIATION POISONING
Dr. Fontez commented on the farmer's post as follows:
“He doesn't have any psychopathic personality traits. Calm, speaking fluently, without nervous tics or signs of emotional instability, all his reactions to the questions asked were completely normal. He spoke decisively and did not lose control of himself in presenting the facts.
His behavior is exactly what one would expect from a person caught in an unusually strange situation. At some moments, even knowing about our doubts about certain issues and mistrust, he still answered quite clearly: "I don't know anything about this" or "I cannot explain it."
In his medical report, Dr. Fontez recorded that Villas Boas arrived home exhausted and slept for almost a whole day. For the next two nights, he could not sleep and suffered from severe headaches and nausea, which led to a loss of appetite.
During the second sleepless night, he felt a strong burning sensation in his eyes, accompanied by lacrimation.
From the third night on, Villas Boas began to feel heightened lethargy, which lasted for a month, and he wanted to sleep all the time. Small wounds then appeared on his arms and legs, which left scars after treatment, and on his face there were two yellowish spots.
The suspicion arose that these were symptoms of radiation sickness. Yet the symptoms were minor, and probably shouldn't have led to any long-term health problems.
These incidents, as well as others that occurred later, were treated with skepticism. Indeed, until now, human experience has been reduced to observing objects from any distance or to contacts with aliens. The case with Antonio provoked fear in people, so a new scenario arose in which a person became a victim, not a chosen one.
But this incident was not a harbinger of what followed. Villas Boas perfectly remembered the moment when he was taken aboard the ship, while the people abducted in our time suffer from "amnesia" and absolutely cannot remember, even under hypnosis, how they got there.
Medical research is mentioned in most reports. In many of the current cases in America, sperm and eggs were collected from humans through medical procedures, while Willas Boas' sperm was obtained naturally.
Most of the American researchers assumed that the material taken was used to reproduce hybrids in order to strengthen the alien race, which is in decline due to a reduced genetic pool.
In the 1960s, researchers argued that a female who came into contact with a Brazilian farmer was such a hybrid. It is curious that a wide face, a sharp chin and thin lips are characteristic of the appearance of modern alien creatures. However, the detailed description of the ship and the connection itself has much in common with technological and sociological research in the 1950s.
LATEST NEWS ABOUT VILLAS BOAS
In 1978, Antonio Villas Boas broke the silence of twenty-one years and gave an interview to Brazilian television. His personal opinion now seems to have been treated with scrutiny as he became Dr. Villas Boas, a respected lawyer, married and had four children.
He admitted that he decided to speak up, because he was annoyed by the interpretation of the incident with him. He again described the incident, without any controversy, but added that during the contact with the "woman" the second time she used a special vessel to collect semen.
Before his death (in 1992), Villas Boas also stated that in the 1960s he was invited to America by "security agencies" to identify the wreckage of a UFO crash. In the future, he always declined to discuss this fact even with his family.
