On September 19, 1961, Betty and Barney Hill, returning from vacation, saw the blazing light on the New Hampshire State Highway, United States. At first they thought the light was coming from a satellite, and then they thought it was an airplane, but suddenly the light focused on the car and began to approach. Looking through binoculars, Betty saw a large "ship" above and faces in the windows. Her husband described it as a pancake-shaped flying object whose crew members wore Nazi uniforms.
After returning home, the couple began to suffer from nightmares associated with this incident. They contacted the National Committee for the Study of Atmospheric Phenomena, they were examined and found that the couple had a two-hour blackout.
At the request of the Hill family, Dr. Benjamin Simon performed hypnosis on Betty, and the hypnotic regression method revealed that she had been abducted and subjected to medical experiments. Dr. Simon concluded that Ms. Hill had invented this episode after a real UFO encounter.
