Too often we take it for granted that human beings have only five senses, and if we cannot explain an event within the framework of modern science, then we dismiss it as an anomaly or an accident.

“I exchange energy with the animals and they fall asleep.” - Master Kanzawa Sensei

For thousands of years, masters of oriental martial and meditative arts have tuned their bodies and minds to perceive qi - a subtle energy that permeates all living beings. Having mastered this skill to perfection, they could demonstrate outstanding achievements in agility, concentration, longevity and strength. At the same time, in the West, we were reluctant to admit the very existence of this subtle energy that connects all living things.

Qigong is the practice of cultivating this energy, and the Japanese qi master Kanazawa Sensei is a rare example of the extraordinary power of qigong. He is known for his ability to manipulate animals with the power of his mind and chi. Standing next to animals, concentrating his mind and manipulating qi with his hands, he can calm, trance and even put to sleep many animals such as buffaloes, elephants, ostriches.

A television program was filmed about this master, during which he visited an alpaca ranch in California and amazed the rancher by taking control of her entire herd. After filming ended, Master Kanzawa did an exceptional job treating the injured animal. Here is what the rancher writes on her website:

“What he did after filming was the most incredible. One of my alpacas was acting very strange that morning. Her hind legs and jaws were practically paralyzed, so that she could not move and eat. I gave her medicine in the hope that it would help. However, during the day she did not get better. At the end of the day, I told Mister Sensei about her, and he went to look at her. She still couldn't eat. Mr. Sensei started working with her while standing about one and a half meters away, using his mind and chi energy. We saw a gradual improvement, and after 20 minutes, she fully recovered, began to move normally and eat. She never had similar symptoms again."

Further in the video presentation, Master Kanzawa works with a herd of buffaloes, very large and dangerous animals. To authenticate the footage, a buffalo veterinarian is involved in the program, who is of course amazed at what a qi master can do with these enormous beasts.

The conversation between the veterinarian and the rancher shows how much of this ancient wisdom has no place in the current system of concepts.

Host: "Doctor, is there a way to explain this scientifically?"

Veterinarian: "In the medicine that I know - no."

Everything in life is interconnected at levels that most of us cannot sense, and Western science lags far behind when it comes to understanding the depth of these connections. The energy body is our natural strength, and each of us has the opportunity to cultivate and improve our energy.

Many modern qi masters reveal their secrets to the world, and although it may seem that Master Kanzawa has superhuman strength, in fact, anyone can develop awareness and mastery of subtle energy.

For further demonstration, watch this Japanese TV video showing Master Sensei working with a small herd of deer, an ostrich, and small animals, each of which is calmed and hypnotized by qi energy.
