Andrew Evans uses texts from 1000 years ago to study the wonders of Britain and search for mysterious creatures.

The book Wonders of Britain was written by a monk between the 9th and 12th centuries and contains a description of 26 fantastic creatures and various wonderful places. The geography professor used these texts in his quest. Some of the places described now look quite ordinary, but a thousand years ago they were admired. For example, the Bone Well in the 19th century was famous for the fact that the bones of birds and fish were often found there, and it was also described in the monk's book. It's just a damp tunnel now.

Another Evans find is the Lynn-Liwan pool, presumably on the Severn River. He studied the entire river bank, but found nothing surprising. But in 2006, he managed to find the supposed location of the pool near the village of Karvent, it was drained in the 70s and is now a pasture. The Daily Mail quotes an enthusiastic scholar: "When I began to study early Welsh poetry, I was surprised how much of our heritage was excluded from the school curriculum."
