Mohenjo-Daro (present-day Pakistan) means "the hill of the dead". We are talking about the civilization of the Indus Valley of the 3rd millennium BC, which existed for about a millennium and disappeared for reasons unclear to science. There are many extravagant versions of the decline of this civilization in the press, up to and including a "nuclear war" in this territory. However, neither in Mohenjo-Daro, nor nearby there are craters that could be traces of such a war, there are no other signs, and the "radioactive skeletons" are just a "duck" launched by someone …

The “War of the Gods” did take place in ancient India and Pakistan, however, this event took place much earlier, around the end of the 6th millennium BC. This is evidenced by objective data - the content of radiocarbon in tree rings. It rises significantly only once in ancient history, at that time. However, we have already talked about this in detail in a separate article.

As for Mohenjo-Daro, about 40 skeletons were indeed found here, however, there is no need to talk about their "radioactivity", moreover, despite the ominous name ("Hill of the Dead"), there are no signs of a violent death that befell these people. And "traces of nuclear weapons melting" are explained even more pragmatically - by smelting, which was carried out by local residents …

Nevertheless, this civilization of the "Bronze Age" (the so-called Harappan) has other oddities that surprise scientists a lot. There was a fairly developed society here, as evidenced by the brick buildings, excellent drainage system and the presence of a superbly designed sewage system. There was even a shower! In general, the settlements are very well designed, with all the amenities for their residents.

But at the same time, there is a complete uniformity of production and buildings. There are no signs of development - during the millennium in Mohenjo-Daro almost nothing has changed, everything was at the same stable level.

At the same time, people worked here without visible traces of coercion. There was no army and no sign of war! Which is very strange for that time. There are no temples and places of worship. As if some kind of "friendly working cell" lived here, obediently fulfilling orders along the "party line" …

There is a lot to say that the Mohenjo-Daro civilization was supported from the outside - by "gods" (as the preserved local legends say). "Gods" provided people with certain benefits and convenience, and they worked for them and performed some tasks.

At the turn of the 2nd millennium BC. this civilization completely disappears. Around the same time (2137 BC) there is a rapid degradation in Egypt, at about the same time a crisis occurs in the Sumerian civilization, in China and for other civilizations of the "Bronze Age" …

There are reasons to associate this crisis with the departure of the "gods", who after 2200 BC. no longer show any signs of their presence on our planet.
