The builder of the Cambodian temple is a very interesting person. English-language sites call him one of the Anunnaki kings, but the architect's real biography is much more amazing.
His father was an earthling, and his mother was a goddess (alien?). And, perhaps, he inherited knowledge from his mother, with the help of which he made a special sword that easily cut stones. The sword shone like a Jedi, and changed its length - it was plasma or laser. Where has gone is unknown. According to one version, it lies at the bottom of the lake.
Preach Pisnokar is not a name and surname. Preah (translated from the Khmer language as “sacred, sacred”) - this word meant belonging to the nobility, and Pisnokar - the title of architect and engineer. Thus, "Preah (x) Pisnokar" means "Sacred Architect".
Pisnokar is a Sanskrit word. Why? Because there are no words in Cambodian with more than two syllables. If there are three syllables, it means it came from French or Sanskrit - this is what linguists write. The first language does not fit in time, which means that Sanskrit remains. I do not know the exact meaning of the word Pisnokar, but intuition suggests that the translation should be sought among the Indian counterparts. What does the word Pisnokar sound like? And now I want to tell you a beautiful and sad story about the life of a great architect. It is passed down from generation to generation in Cambodia.
There was a poor man named Lim Seng in China. And one day, in search of a better life and good luck, he decided to go to Cambodia. In the new country, Lim borrowed some money from a rich Khmer man and opened his own business. But something went wrong, the Chinese went broke and soon became the slave of that very rich man. Lim was already 50 years old - a very respectable age for that time, and the locals called him Ta Seng - Old Man Seng.
The Chinese man lived in a small hut by the river. He was a very hardworking person: he worked in the owner's garden to pay off the debt, and at the same time managed to take care of his own garden - he grew delicious vegetables and beautiful flowers. Soon this little piece of land became like a piece of paradise.
Once, when Lim was not at home, the heavenly maidens flew into his garden. (They were bored in heaven, so they decided to go down to earth to splash in the river near a beautiful garden.) One of them, named Tipsoda Chan, was so fascinated by this place that she completely lost track of time, forgetting about everything in the world. … The girl could not resist the temptation and picked six flowers in the garden as a keepsake. She brought them with her to heaven. But the harsh gods considered even such a small theft to be a crime and sent the girl to earth as punishment. As a payback for each plucked flower, she had to be a slave to a Chinese gardener for 6 years - and after that she had to return back to heaven.
At dusk, she flew to the old man's hut and began to ask him to take her as a servant. Ta Seng said: he is so poor that he cannot even feed himself, let alone one more mouth. But Tipsoda begged him, said she would help with the housework, try her best to feed both of them. And the old man took pity.
Time passed, and they fell in love with each other. Ta Seng was captivated by her beauty and demeanor. And the heavenly maiden fell in love with the kindness of her middle-aged master. They soon got married.
To help her husband pay off the debt, Tipsoda Chan started making silk clothes. Her products were the most beautiful, brilliant and enjoyed great success. The debt was paid and Ta Seng became a free and wealthy man.
Tipsoda gave her husband another gift - she gave birth to his son. Great love makes the most talented children; from early childhood, the boy loved to paint pictures in the sand and build beautiful sand castles. Seeing that her son was endowed with a special gift, Tipsoda named him Pisnokar - this title was awarded to celestial engineers and architects.
When the child was 5 years old, Tipsoda was forced to return back to heaven. With deep sadness, she confessed everything to her husband and asked for permission to take her son with her. Hunched over with grief, Ta Seng did not even try to argue with her. When his wife flew to heaven, he could no longer stay in Cambodia, where everything reminded him of his lost happiness. The old man sold all his property and sailed back to China by ship.
Arriving in the sky, Tipsoda introduced her son to the supreme ruler - Indra. She asked permission to leave the boy in heaven. The wise god understood that a mortal had a place on Earth, but at the same time he liked the talented child so much that he allowed Pisnokar to learn the craft of divine builders.
Several years have passed. And one day the crown prince of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who was the secret son of Indra, came to heaven to visit his father. He was delighted with the magnificent palaces and temples of his father, and when it came time to return to earth, the prince became sad, because there was no such luxury. And then the supreme god introduced him to Pisnokar, in whom he saw a worthy companion for his son.
The young men returned to Earth together. The prince became king. And the young architect built a copy of the heavenly temple - Angkor Wat.
Several years passed, and the king asked Pisnokar to take 200 kg of iron and make out of it the most powerful weapon, which would not have been equal anywhere on Earth. The young man fulfilled the request of a friend. Three months later, he brought a small sword with the finest blade to the palace. He claimed that it took all the allocated raw materials to create it. The king got angry and said that he was giving 200 kg of iron, and the sword was tiny, and Pisnokar must have stolen it meanly.
The architect was very offended and said that he would not stay a day in the palace. He ran out into the yard. There was a jug of water. Pisnokar swung his sword - and the jug remained in its place, not a single drop of water spilled from it. But when a man approached the jug to check, the earthen vessel split into 2 parts. Pisnokar did the same with the tree. Swung his sword - and the tree remained in its place, as if nothing had happened; but as soon as a man came up to him and lightly pushed the tree, it fell, because was cut into two parts.
While the royal retinue stood with their mouths open in surprise and came to their senses, the men disappeared. The king sent messengers to bring Pisnokar and the wonder sword back. But the messengers returned with nothing.
They say that Preach sailed to China to his father, or perhaps went to travel around the world. Since then, no one has heard of Pisnokar. But the memory of him is alive as long as the most beautiful temple complex built by a talented architect stands on Earth.
