Exactly seventy-eight years ago, on September 18, 1938, in Yamal, scientists noted an amazing and inexplicable eclipse, which they later called "Black Day".
An inexplicable phenomenon occurred in the north of the Tyumen region, today not a single scientist. An astronomer or specialists in various fields of science cannot explain what happened in 1938. Geologists who worked on the peninsula say that sudden darkness fell on Yamal, accompanied by complete radio silence, people could not tune a single station.
According to some sources, based on the accounts of eyewitnesses who were able to see a mysterious natural phenomenon, in confusion geologists fired several signal flares, which helped to establish that very dense clouds hung at low altitude above the ground, which did not let the sun's rays through. There was no rainfall or particulate matter on the ground.
Eyewitnesses said that the unexplained eclipse lasted for one hour. Scientists are still trying to understand the reasons for this mysterious phenomenon.
