The small church, which was built in honor of the apostles Peter and Paul in the Serbian village of Rsovci, is unique for its unusual fresco, which depicts the Savior completely without hair.

This fresco was apparently not painted by a local church artist on the north wall of the temple in the second half of the 13th century. It is also interesting that Jesus is depicted on the plaster dressed in Buddhist clothes, and his image is framed by a mandorla - an oval halo, which was adopted in Christian and Buddhist art. Usually the image of Buddha, Christ or the Mother of God was placed in it.

The village of Rsovci is located 23 km from the town of Pirot, in the region called Upper High by the locals. About 10 years ago, the church of the Apostles Peter and Paul was abandoned, but later restored by the church authorities, as well as by the inhabitants of the village. There are two more interesting frescoes in the Serbian monastery of Sukovo. This is a fresco of St. Christopher with a horse's head and a winged Virgin Mary.
