The Canadian government cannot explain the appearance of an unidentified flying object in the skies over Newfoundland last Monday

“We do not have any data on missile launches,” said spokesman for the Prime Minister of Canada Dimitri Sudas in this regard. Jerry Byrne, a Liberal MP for the Humber-St. Barb-Bae Werth District, immediately announced that the government, as always, was keeping secrets from the people.

On Monday, residents of the town of Harbor Mille in Newfoundland saw three rocket-like objects in the sky. Neither the US Department of Defense nor the Canadian government has any records of any launches that day.

The St. John's radio station reported, citing French sources, that France was testing its ballistic missiles in the Atlantic these days.

However, these tests took place at a very large distance from Canadian territory.

“There is no evidence that rocket launches have taken place in the area,” Prime Minister's spokesman Dimitri Saudas told reporters by e-mail.

However, one of the Liberal MPs accused Ottawa of refusing to provide answers to questions about the mysterious objects, photographed by a resident of Harbor Mill Darlene Stewart.

Police said Wednesday that all questions in the case are being forwarded to the Ministry of Public Security, which returns them to police without comment. Starting Thursday, the ministry is referring questions to the Prime Minister's Office.

“The Office has made a clear statement and I have nothing to add to it,” Department of Public Security spokesman Christopher McCluskey told reporters in an email.

Darlene Stewart went out to photograph the sunset on Monday when she managed to capture what looked like a rocket. According to her, she warned two neighbors, with whom she then saw three more such objects.

The photograph taken by the woman shows an oblong rocket-like object with a tail of fire and smoke, but it is difficult to determine its size and how far from the shore from the photograph.

The French radio station reported that France has tested ballistic missiles in the Atlantic Ocean, but far from where the Canadian residents observed the objects. No comment could be received from the French embassy.

A Defense Ministry spokesman said the Ministry was aware of what was happening and confirmed that no tests were being carried out in the area.

"Nothing threatens the security of Canada," the Defense Department said.
