The other day marks the 160th anniversary of the birth of the genius Russian scientist, inventor and founder of theoretical cosmonautics Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. In this regard, the first site about the cosmic prophecies of this outstanding person appeared on the Runet - tsiolkovsky.tass.ru. The author of the project is the domestic news agency TASS.
Konstantin Eduardovich, as many people know, predicted the appearance of artificial earth satellites, multistage launch vehicles, orbital stations and many other aircraft. He also foresaw a manned spacewalk and landing on the moon. These prophecies were made by Tsiolkovsky long before all this became possible in practice.
The site contains many interesting facts concerning the scientist's views on the future. For example, Tsiolkovsky assumed that our civilization would make the first space flight only this year, 2017. At the same time, other technologies predicted by the Soviet inventor have yet to be implemented. So, Konstantin Eduardovich put forward the idea of a space elevator - an engineering structure serving for missileless launches of cargo into orbit. Unfortunately, this concept is still impracticable.
Tsiolkovsky predicted a meeting with aliens
The founder of theoretical cosmonautics not only prophesied the invention of spacecraft, but also announced the difficulties that starfighters would have to face. He proposed using artificial gravity, air regeneration and special locks in space stations, through which the station could be left. Tsiolkovsky developed the concept of the so-called "rocket train", which became the first prototype of a multistage rocket.
The following is also very interesting: the scientist did not hide his belief that there is life beyond the Earth, significantly superior to us in intelligence and, therefore, in the level of development. The outstanding inventor was convinced that someday humanity will surely fly around the entire solar system, and then rush beyond it, eventually reaching new galaxies. We can only hope that he will be right.
