For the most part, this is indeed the case. The capabilities of modern forensic science allow solving even the most complex crimes with a minimum of evidence.
However, there are exceptions to any rule. Sometimes criminals still manage to commit an ideal crime, which is simply impossible to solve and lead to punishment. Here are five crimes that can rightfully be called ideal.
Theft of 5 million euros of jewelry
8 years ago, back in 2009, three masked men decided to rob the second largest shopping center in Europe. Using rope ladders, the thieves were able to enter the premises bypassing the security sensors. They plundered the center's jewelry stores, stealing five million euros worth of jewelry.
They almost managed to disappear without a trace, but one of the robbers dropped the glove. It would seem that with such evidence, the German justice system will certainly find at least one of the perpetrators. But it was not there. The fact is that the DNA from the glove belongs to two people at the same time - identical twins. Since it is legally impossible to indict both twins on the evidence presented, the case has still not been closed.

First robbery of the US National Bank
This crime is so strange that nothing but magic can explain it. In 1977, on October 7, four million dollars were locked in a safe located in the basement of the First National Bank of Chicago.
A few days later, the money was checked and exactly one million dollars were missing. No one understood how and when the money disappeared from the safe, let alone who stole it.
Only four years later, some of the marked bills were seized during one of the raids by the anti-narcotics department, but this raid did not shed light on the theft.
Stealing Tucker's Cross
This beautiful 22-carat gold cross, adorned with sparkling green emeralds, was found on the seashore in the ruins of the ship San Pedro, which was wrecked back in 1594. The treasure was discovered by Teddy Tucker in 1955.
Twenty years after the discovery, the priceless treasure went to an exhibition in the Bermuda Museum of Art, but during transportation and preparation for the exhibition, the criminal exchanged the priceless original for a cheap plastic copy. Who it was and where is the treasure now, it is not known.
Robbery of a Baghdad private bank
In the summer of 2007, in Dar es Salaam, a private financial institution in Baghdad, a robbery took place, in which the guards were guilty, more precisely, two guards who had previously found out the amount and location of the money.
The criminals managed to escape with a huge amount of money - almost $ 300 million. They were never found, in part because the bank itself was not interested in the investigation. Most likely, the money was not entirely clean, and, probably, the criminals knew about this, and therefore decided to rob.
French "Vacuum band"
After all, one cannot fail to mention the still operating crew of French thieves-crooks, proving that all ingenious is simple. These scammers literally "siphon" money from the safes of the Monoprix chain of stores.
The fact is that supermarkets are equipped with durable steel safes, which are simply impossible to open without a code. However, all branches have pneumatic tubes connected directly to the safe to minimize open access to money.
Fraudsters managed to find the weak point of the impenetrable safes, and they turned out to be a pneumatic pipe. At the base of the pneumatic tube leading to the safe, thieves made holes, inserted a powerful vacuum cleaner into them, and literally sucked money out of the safe. Fraudsters managed to steal from 600 to 800 thousand euros.
