They can hear the voices of the dead, they are able to understand what the ghost who appears in the apartment wants to convey, they know how to pacify the poltergeist, and are able to calm the spirits. This is what the members of the international association "Cosmopoisk" say about themselves, headed by the famous researcher of anomalous phenomena Vadim Chernobrov. The organization has branches in many cities of Russia, and now in Irkutsk
“We do not wait for something to suddenly appear to us - a UFO arrives or a poltergeist is activated, we do not sit still,” says Nikita Tomin, head of the Irkutsk Cosmopoisk group. - Now, for example, we are dealing with the phenomenon of electronic voices.
Nikita explains that with the help of a radio, tape recorder or television one can get in touch with the dead: “Roughly speaking, this is a kind of spiritualism. In Irkutsk we have already made several such recordings, we have voices and sounds from another world. In one case, on the recording you can hear: "To be in captivity", in the other - "There are ten." These are fragmentary phrases. Rather, even thoughts that can be caught on certain waves."
You can make such records anywhere, with special equipment. “Cosmopoisk” made them in one of the apartments in Irkutsk: “We tune in to short waves, to the so-called white noise, where there are no radio stations and only hiss is heard from the receiver. We connect to a computer and ask a question into the void, after which we record the noise for some time. Later, human voices can be heard by analyzing and clearing the recordings. The organization says that the artist, film producer Friedrich Jurgenson discovered this phenomenon in the 1950s, accidentally recording strange voices on magnetic tape.
- We do not know what these voices are, but there are assumptions that these are the voices of the dead, - says Nikita Tomin.
Ghosts in Bratsk
Cosmopoisk employees have accumulated a lot of reports on the work done in Bratsk. Nikita Tomin told us about the brightest of them:

- We worked at the Bratskoe Vzmorye sanatorium officially. We were invited by the management, because many employees, doctors, vacationers began to meet with ghosts, hear voices, knocks, and feel psychophysical influences.
According to Nikita, the staff of the sanatorium met ghosts in the corridors: "We spent two nights there, but we were not able to meet with ghosts, but we heard sounds!" Nikita says that they were completely alone in the room so that no one would interfere with the experiment: “These sounds are on the recordings. They began arriving from the waiting room at half past midnight and lasted four hours. These sounds are like slamming a door. We also managed to capture some white blobs in the photo. It turned out that about forty people were once shot at the site of the investigated building, and all of them were buried in a common grave - they were prisoners. Perhaps it was the souls of the dead that haunted the staff of the boarding house and vacationers. Later a priest held a service there, and everything calmed down."
Killed mother
“In another case, we examined an apartment rented by students,” says Nikita. - The guys suddenly activated a poltergeist: they saw the ghost of an old woman - she fought with them, the guys woke up at night from blows to the nose. There was a moment when they woke up from the fact that everything was flooded with water, despite the fact that all the taps in the apartment were closed. I had such a moment: a liter jar was lying, and a file suddenly flies off from above and falls on it. It would seem that the bank should break, but here the file broke! As a result, the group members helped the students get rid of the poltergeist. They found out why the grandmother comes to the guys and what she wants. It turned out that a woman who suffered from a mental disorder lived in this apartment a few years ago, and her son did not give her the necessary medications, from which she died.“The ghost is a product of an unresolved situation,” Nikita explains. - We need to find a solution, and everything will end. I saw this woman as a lump of blackness moving around the apartment. We sanctified the premises and everything stopped."
- There was a case in another apartment in Bratsk, where the tenants brought in a kitten. The phantom wanted to kill him. I personally saw, - says Nikita, - how forks and knives fell off the table and flew at this kitten, the doors of the cupboards slammed. Then, when the cat was removed from the apartment, everything settled down. It became clear that the kitten was the cause of the poltergeist activation.
Curse of the wife
- And once in my hands the paper on which I wrote a report on the work on the perforated poltergeist caught fire, - says Nikita. - Anything happened in our activity, and all this is very interesting and little researched. The apartment where this happened was a married couple. A man was dying of stomach cancer. His wife suffered greatly and cursed him just before his death. After the husband died, something terrible began in the apartment: holes formed in the walls by themselves, plaster collapsed in perfectly even circles, noise, grinding, banging were heard.
- With the help of hypnosis and various other methods, we learned about what happened, and the woman admitted that it really happened. She began to go to church and at some point begged her husband's forgiveness in a full voice in her own apartment. On the same night she dreamed of him in a beautiful suit, and in the morning all the phenomena stopped.
We know - it is
To the question "Do you believe in ghosts and ghosts unconditionally?" the members of the group say in a voice: “We do not believe! We know they are. Denying this is like not believing in a cell phone. We know that they are skeptical about us, but we have facts - photos, video and audio recordings”.
The members of the group say that for them meeting the otherworldly is something very interesting. “I'm not afraid of this at all,” says Vasily Stepanenko, a member of the group. - On the contrary, when something happens somewhere, I immediately run there - to look, see, hear. This is the strongest interest, and there is no fear. Although there are known cases of harmful effects, there are minimum deaths."
- How do you feel about those who categorically do not recognize the existence of otherworldly worlds, ghosts, poltergeist?
- Let them talk. To know something, you need to do it, - says Nikita. - At work, I talked with one very serious professor and shared with him that I am also doing this, and he told me a very interesting phrase: “I don’t have time for this. And no one will pay me money for such research. Here's the approach. It's easier to deny it than to take on serious, long, painstaking work.
- Why do you need this if it does not bring income?
- This is the future. You need to learn to understand these phenomena in order to be able to manage it, to defend yourself. The person wants to know more, and perhaps in the future we will use these things for practical purposes. At the same time, the staff of "Cosmopoisk" say that they always first of all try to find natural explanations for all events, and only later it comes to paranormal phenomena.
Kindergarten incident
Cosmopoisk has already got its first clients in Irkutsk. Recently, a young guy who works as a watchman in a kindergarten in Irkutsk turned to the staff. “He sent us a recording made on a dictaphone of a mobile phone - on it you can hear some sounds, pounding, running. The guy himself, very frightened, comments on this, - says one of the members of "Cosmopoisk" Vasily Stepanenko. - The other day we went to this kindergarten. The watchman let us in there at night, but we did not record anything. However, the instruments showed that there is something anomalous in this room."
About UFO
It is much more difficult to investigate UFOs, according to "Cosmopoisk", therefore, members of the group devote more time to anomalous phenomena: "Ufology is more like collecting statistics and identifying some patterns. But there are places where UFOs appear every night. We were in the village of Buzykanovo, near Taishet, and saw red discs in the sky for all five nights we spent there. The disks were running along the same route."
On a voluntary basis
"Cosmopoisk" is an all-Russian scientific research public organization for the study of anomalous phenomena. It has existed since 1980. It was founded as a research group at the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). The founder, ideological inspirer and permanent leader (coordinator) is Vadim Alexandrovich Chernobrov. The famous Russian science fiction writer Alexander Petrovich Kazantsev was the honorary leader and ideologist of Cosmopoisk. The organization includes many regional groups in Russia, CIS countries, Germany, Israel, Latvia and others. The creation of branches abroad and preparation for registration of the international association "Cosmopoisk" is underway.
Members of the "Cosmopoisk-Irkutsk" group do not charge any money for their services. All members of "Cosmopoisk" work exclusively on a voluntary basis.
By the way, it often happens that ghostbusters are invited for the sake of interest, by inventing a story. “I had a case in Bratsk, - said Nikita Tomin, - a man called us and said that there were aliens at his home. We didn’t believe it, but we decided to go. It turned out that the man had been drinking for several weeks, so he dreamed of aliens.”
Why Irkutsk?
The organization's specialists came to us from Bratsk. Since 2001, there has existed "Bratsk-Kosmopoisk", which was headed by Nikita Tomin, the head of the research group "Phenomenon". Now Nikita and several of his allies have come to study Irkutsk for anomalous phenomena. Everything happened after the young man got a job at the Melentiev Institute of Energy Systems of the SB RAS. Here he found like-minded people, and now there are five people in the group: “Anyone can come to us. The main thing is that this person can be of some use to the group - knowledge in the field of parapsychology, talent in assembling some necessary devices, and so on,”says Nikita.
The spirits will answer for the holes
Serious science continues to be skeptical about the research of the Cosmopoisk group. Arthur Borodin, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, and Alexander Malov, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, expressed their position on the scientific research of Nikita Tomina and his associates on Friday.
- Academician Landau once said that one experimental result can be explained by an infinite number of stupid theories. If the result itself is stupid, then there is where the free spirits of the paranormal with their UFO theories, green men, telekinesis, werewolves, quantum psychology, political astronomy and other horror films can roam. This ensures the inexhaustible prosperity of pseudosciences in spite of all kinds of commissions from the Academy of Sciences.
According to physicists, the members of the Bratsk-Cosmopoisk group led by Nikita Tomina, in their attempts to investigate the medical building in Bratsk for “paranormal activity”, have so far achieved only one reliable result: the administration of the institution under investigation kicked the paranormal out of their territory with a bang. The "research" itself, from the point of view of scientists, is completely illiterate, and experiments have no scientific and technical meaning.
- In any room of a modern apartment building, you can intend even more ornate results and explain them with the help of unknown entities such as spirits, ghosts and phantoms, - say physicists.
Alexander Malov and Arthur Borodin were very skeptical about the studies of the "perforated" poltergeist in the Individualny settlement. In their opinion, the presence of holes in the plaster is clearly associated not with perfumes and phantoms, but with the quality of building materials and dampness in the house.
According to experts, the activity of the "Cosmopoisk" group can be of practical importance only for our native housing and communal services, as it gives very weighty arguments for the fight against tenants. Now all the collapsed plaster, holes in walls and pipes and other housing and communal problems can be attributed to leaky poltergeists and ghosts.
