Italian and Danish scientists were able to confirm the age of this bag. According to them, it matches the legend, but this fact cannot confirm that the bag was actually brought by the angel. This bag has been preserved to this day. Even the fact that an earthquake occurred several hundred years ago, which destroyed the monastery, did not prevent the monks from saving the bag. After that, they placed the fabric in a special place. Now only half of it remains in the monastery.
Scientists had difficulty convincing the monks to provide some of the bag's fibers for analysis. They established that the age of the bag coincides with the date referred to in the legend. Recall that scientists in recent years have revealed many secrets of the past, which makes it possible to refute or confirm historical notes and documents.
