Video: 8 Most Important Members of the 27 Club 2024, May
Anonim

Rock fans are well aware of the phrase "Club 27". This is the name of the tragic "community" of musicians who passed away, barely reaching this age threshold.

Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Alexander Bashlachev, Janis Joplin, Mia Zapata, Emmy Winehouse … The tragic list is long enough to speak of a mere coincidence. And the most important thing is that not only rock musicians get there, but also simply talented people, who may have started their careers too brightly to "burn" to a ripe old age.

FOREVER YOUNG

On Friday, April 8, 1994, at 8.45 a.m., a Seattle police officer on duty picked up a phone call from one Gary Smith, a staff electrician. He said that in the house number 171, owned by a married couple Courtney Love - Kurt Cobain, lies the bloody body of a man. The arriving squad found both the applicant and the corpse on the spot. It was not easy to identify the deceased, since, firstly, he lay in a stuffy closed room for at least three days, and secondly, one does not need to have a lot of imagination to imagine what remains of the head of a person who shot himself in the mouth with a large-caliber rifle "Remington" 11th model.

There were no signs of disorder, but on the table lay a few sheets of red ink, presumably a suicide message. Cobain was identified by his fingerprints. The press cautiously stated that the planned performance of Nirvana at the Lollapaloosa festival is in question. However, after a few days, the world spread the sad news: Kurt is no more.

The greatest bluesman believed that Satan himself endowed him with charm and helps him in a virtuoso game

The king of grunge Cobain lived as he played - every new day is like the last. “Nirvana in my understanding means freedom from pain, suffering, the outside world, - said Kurt in an interview. “This is immersion in a fairy tale by playing the guitar.” Fairy tales were terrible - the theme of death became fundamental in them. The musician mystically believed that he would not live to see thirty. And neither work, nor the woman he loved, nor even the child could keep him from self-destruction and obsessive movement towards the fatal date.

Promotional video:

Cobain repeatedly attempted suicide and flirted too seriously with drugs, but he was always siphoned off. Only this time it all ended more than sadly, although there were many mysteries and outright devilry in his case.

Nirvana bassist Novoselic added fuel to the fire, claiming that Cobain was killed by "some forces of evil." The deceased's suicide note contained a lot of confusion and contradictory statements, and besides, it was clearly written in two different handwritings, and only the last words "Peace, love, best wishes" clearly belonged to him. But this, you see, does not mean in any way a desire to leave this life. Kurt was not a Satanist, but he treated God, to put it mildly, without piety, in particular, he wore a T-shirt with the inscription "God is a fagot." Has Hell intervened in the fate of the frantic rocker?

LIVE FAST AND DIE YOUNG

His rock ideal Jim Morrison faithfully followed this slogan. He took care of neither himself nor his group; experimented with the expansion of consciousness and relied on higher forces in everything. Jim believed that the blood of the Sioux was in his veins, and he studied in depth their beliefs, legends and myths. He believed that the world of white civilization was spiritless and boring, but the primitive cosmogony and philosophy of the indigenous people of America was just what you needed.

The Sioux were great mystics: they argued that in parallel to our real world there are several more, no less real. You can only get into them by eating magic fungi or smoking a magic pipe. Perhaps that is why many of Jim's texts have remained unsolved, incomprehensible, allowing for many interpretations. Jim often traveled to other worlds, bringing new colors and rhymes, images and emotions from there.

He had a presentiment of his early departure, however, in this case, there were some secrets. His body was found in the pool of his Parisian home. What it was - a drug overdose, suicide or even murder, has not been established. He did not leave a suicide note, but a book of poems remained, where Morrison speaks of his readiness to leave this world. Not to die, but to go on a journey through neighboring worlds. He was … naturally 27.

THE CURSE OF THE Chosen

And even he was not the first in the "Club 27". The first to join it officially was Robert Johnson. The greatest bluesman of all times and peoples - as many believe - was either shot by the jealous husband of one of his mistresses, or poisoned with strychnine. The intrigue is that the dark-skinned playboy did not hide his sympathy for the enemy of the human race.

And he sincerely believed that it was he who helped him in a virtuoso game and insane charm. Kinda met him at some magic crossroads, and he took his soul in exchange for the unprecedented art of playing the blues. Johnson himself had an almost official nickname for the Devil; however, he did not resist this kind of mass public worship. It was rumored that Robert also knew the priests of the Candomblé cult, a kind of voodoo religion developed in the Mississippi Delta, where many descendants of slaves from West Africa, to which Johnson belonged, live.

One of his most famous songs is called Me and the devil blues. And the history of his deal is devoted to films and performances, books and the same blues, but over the years his relationship with the Prince of Darkness is more and more overgrown with legends. Whether he met his idol, what happened to his soul and what influence his songs have on music lovers, where there is clearly no place for Christian humility, is difficult to say. But he opened the official list of the damned "Club 27".

LINKS OF A STRANGE CHAIN

With the rise of rock as the main musical style of the 20th century, Club 27 began to rapidly replenish with honorary members. In 69, the founder and frontman of the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones, a handsome blonde and Mick Jagger's main rival (this one will definitely live to be a hundred years old!), Drowned in the pool. It was rumored that he was actually killed. Further, the heroes of rock and roll, as if by agreement, began to die, barely reaching their 27th birthday. The great, without exaggeration, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix did it almost simultaneously. Janice from an overdose, and Jimmy too, only he washed down the sedative tablets with a wild amount of gin and choked with vomit.

Both in their songs predicted their own death at a young age. Both were avid mystics; only Joplin was a fan of the philosophy of the Beatniks, the "lost generation" of the 50s, which means she was a fatalist and believed that she was born to die. And the mulatto Hendrix was seriously carried away by the voodoo religion, and his move to London, where there were many people from Haiti and Jamaica, only spurred this interest. And this cult, as you know, practices the creation of zombies - artificially revived dead, ready to do anything for the sake of their master. And this is not counting the sacrifices, falling into a trance and lumping sin.

Shortly before his passing, he wrote Voodoo Chile, one of the best pieces on this topic. At 27, lesser known, but also charismatic people left: Alan Wilson - the leader, vocalist and composer of the Canned Heat group, Leslie Harvey, the lead singer of Stone the Crows, who received an electric shock at his own concert, Gary Thane, the bass virtuoso of the Uriah Neer group.

And of course, our incomparable Alexander Bashlachev, who fell out of the window, as usual, under mysterious, if not mystical, circumstances.

Burnt by the moon

Back in the early 70s, experts on the paranormal began to dig into the essence of these terrible events and came to an interesting conclusion: 27 is an unpleasant age for a person. The fact is that there are planetary cycles of fate, which imply milestones that are especially important for a person. All years divisible by the number "nine" refer to the cycle of the Black Moon, or, as it is also called, Lilith.

And if the White Moon (number "7") is able to show all the brightest that is in us, then Lilith pulls out into the light of day the dark essence of man, no matter how talented he is. All ages, multiples of 9, correspond to the Black Moon cycle, and 27 of them are the most tragic. For the three is also not the happiest number. And you can give as many examples of the creative longevity of artists, musicians and artists as you like, but the number of deaths is 27 times more, and no logic and theory of probability explains this.

OFFICIAL VERSION

And from the point of view of official science, psychiatrists would call such a coincidence nothing more than a complex of self-destruction, a kind of planned suicide. A situation when mechanisms unknown to vitality trigger the process of self-destruction. This is exactly what happened to Mikhail Lermontov. Who, as you know, died at 27 … and was insanely talented.

How many people call him the first poet of Russia! At the same time, he had such an unbearable character that even fans could not communicate with him for a long time. The unfortunate Martynov was his friend at the military school, but then Lermontov suddenly changed to his friend and almost starved him out, seeking a duel. A simple officer understood the full power of Lermontov's talent and literally hid from him, avoiding a quarrel and another provocation.

How it all ended is well known: Lermontov nevertheless forced Martynov to a duel. But even there there was still an opportunity to avoid tragedy - Martynov was ready to shoot into the air, but Mikhail Yuryevich continued to insult him in front of the seconds, and he could not restrain himself. Or maybe the poet was really looking for death? Rather, he felt her cold breath and, not finding on the battlefield, used the last chance - to die at the hands of a friend, albeit a former one. "I want to forget and fall asleep …"

Nika Turbina, a gifted poetess whose talent shone in early childhood, also left us at 27. Someone calls her a flared up and early extinguished star, someone hints that such poems were something outstanding for a little girl, but for an adult - mediocrity. The fact is that the girl, who barely knew how to write, began to hear the lines in her sleep that made her famous. Not the most optimistic, by the way.

And then she stopped writing, but began to experience all sorts of adult drinks on herself and as if in a hurry to leave this adult world, which did not accept her. She died under mysterious circumstances: sitting on the windowsill of only the third floor, awkwardly turned and fell down.

According to eyewitnesses, Nika did not commit suicide - as if some strange and inexplicable force pulled her along. It was even said that it was a gust of wind, although the weather that day was calm. The curse of the number "27" pursued young geniuses and took them away from us forever.
