According to a TASS correspondent, on October 14, an unidentified flying object was seen over Geneva. However, a spokesman for the Geneva police told reporters that there was no flying object in the sector other than normal air traffic.

In the photographs published in the newspaper La Tribune de Genéve, against the background of the black sky, one can distinguish a luminous oval and three points on it. “UFOs were noticed by several eyewitnesses who were in different places,” the article says. One of them is the player of the Servette football club in Geneva, Marias Fitkewitz. The luminous oval, according to his photograph, "hung" over the industrial suburb of La Prai, next to the stadium.

In turn, the newspaper "20 Minutes" published an eyewitness testimony named Sasha, who said that he saw a UFO on Wednesday "at about 20:30". "It went on for about 20 seconds, then the object flew off abruptly," making a creaking sound, and the size was "as big as an airplane with two static lights around the edges, like searchlights."

On social media, the incident became a topic of lively discussion. Someone considered the reports of an unusual object in La Prai to be fakes. There are also suggestions that it could be a drone launched by someone.

However, this version was rejected by the representative of one of the companies involved in aerial photography, Fabio Chironi, who said: "This machine seems to me too big for a drone." However, he did not rule out that it could be a non-standard drone, the unusual design of which was determined by the customer.

According to press reports, on October 12, a similar object was seen in the sky at about 22:00 in Lausanne, and at 23:00 - in the neighboring town of Zhe in France.

What the police say

The spokesman for the Geneva police, Claude Cantiello, told reporters: “The police central telephone exchange did not register a single call on this topic. We checked with the controllers of the international airport, and they told us that apart from the usual air traffic there was no flying object in this sector."

Neither the Swiss army nor the border corps have reported anything unusual on October 12 in the skies over Geneva and neighboring areas.
