An amazing incident happened in the fall of 1975 in southwestern China in the picturesque green province of Yunnan. Two soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army stood guard at the entrance to the territory of the military unit in the Qianrui region. Suddenly they saw that a strange glowing reddish object of impressive size was flying right at them across the sky. One sentry ran to report to his superiors about the appearance of a flying object, and the second remained at his post.
A few minutes later, the absent sentry returned to his post along with the leadership of the guard and several soldiers, but at that moment there was no one at the gate - the second sentry disappeared. The unit command ordered a search. The soldiers combed the area around the military unit, searched all the premises. The missing sentry was found several hours later. He was completely at a loss and did not understand at all what had happened. But what especially surprised the soldiers who found him was the long hair, beard and mustache of their unfortunate comrade.
It seemed that he had not shaved or cut his hair for a long time, but only a few hours ago they saw him clean-shaven and short, according to the regulations, cropped … The sentry's weapon was with him. Another well-known worldwide confirmed kidnapping case occurred in Chile. On April 25, 1977, at 4:15 am, non-commissioned officer Armando Valdez became a participant in an unexpected and inexplicable event.
Six soldiers were sitting by the fire. Suddenly they noticed that two light "gramadins" were approaching them across the still dark sky. One of the luminous objects started landing, and the second hovered at a low altitude at a distance of several hundred meters from the soldiers. Valdez ordered his subordinates to prepare for defense, and he himself went to see what had flown in there. At that moment, when he was standing directly under the descending object, a beam fell on him from above, and the soldiers saw the non-commissioned officer disappear. It looked as if the luminous monster touched it with a tentacle beam and instantly pulled the victim into its mouth. The unknown object flew away instantly.
Exactly 15 minutes later, Armando Valdez was back on the lawn and immediately lost consciousness. His watch showed the exact time - 4:30, but the date on the watch jumped five days ahead. Not only the hours, but also the pale, haggard, face of a non-commissioned officer, overgrown with a five-day beard, also corresponded to five days without food and rest. What happened to him during those 15 minutes, he himself did not really understand …
The case of Armando Valdez is considered one of the most surprising and mysterious in the history of UFO sightings. Non-commissioned officer Valdez and the Chinese sentry were probably abducted by someone through the "space-time channel" and then brought back. It seems pure fantasy, but in both cases the victims equally lost the idea of the past period of time, during which they had so naturally “aged” by several days. You can, of course, simply ignore facts that do not fit into the generally accepted description of the world and do not correspond to known laws. But this can hardly be considered a promising approach to business: this approach, in principle, contradicts the progress of scientific knowledge of the world.
The plot about “stolen time” and about being in “another reality” is as old as the world. There are a lot of such stories in fairy tales and beliefs of different peoples. They are also found in Hebrew legends and are very richly represented in European folklore. For example, here is a famous story about a shepherd boy. Early in the morning the shepherd went out to Mount Frenne-Favre to graze his father's sheep. Further in the tale it is said that the boy saw a detachment of soldiers not far off and was surprised how they got there and what they were doing. He had never seen soldiers climb a mountain, and even so early. The shepherd did not immediately realize that the little men he took for soldiers were very small. “Probably, these are fairies,” he thought, and remembered what they said about fairies in the village: they must be avoided.

But the boy was not a timid dozen and decided to examine the outlandish people near. The boy managed to sneak up on them quite close, and he saw how miniature, smartly dressed creatures, similar to people, danced and sang. Then the fairy shepherd who did not sleep well, apparently, was lulled to sleep with sweet voices and gentle music and was kidnapped. When he woke up, he saw around not the side of the mountain, shrouded in morning fog, but luxurious stone chambers.
In “another reality”, that is, in the world of fairies, the shepherd lived like “in Christ's bosom”. He was received in a royal way, settled in a palace. The boy's life became an endless series of feasts and entertainment. But one day the shepherd drank some water from the "forbidden spring", and the palace disappeared along with all the fabulous creatures. He again found himself in the mountains, at the very place from which he stepped into the round dance of fairies. Sheep peacefully nibbled the grass, the fog had not cleared yet. The shepherd looked around in complete confusion: since many years have passed, he has already become an adult, but here, on the mountain slope, nothing has changed, and the sun has not yet risen - only a few minutes have passed …
This is just one tale about "being in another reality", in fact, there are many of them. The fact that fairies, trolls, "hidden inhabitants" of the Icelandic plateau and other fantastic creatures can steal time from a person is said in various legends. In the same legends, we often talk about the substitution of children. This is also strikingly reminiscent of the widespread rumors that alien beings allegedly extract embryos or unfertilized eggs from abducted women.
Similar examples from the world of sagas and legends are numerous. It is rather strange that similar situations are repeated in our time. The only difference is that now the abductions are no longer attributed to trolls and fairies, but to aliens.
