A set of photographs depicting UFOs, which were included in one of the last batch of government documents published thanks to Edward Snowden, have been ridiculed by ufologists.

The images were taken by the British intelligence service GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters), Snowden said. Three of them allegedly contain images of spaceships, but they were not recognized by UFO experts, who called them fakes, writes the Daily Mail.

According to Nigel Watson, author of the book on UFOs, one of the photos taken in 2011 by a tourist in Cornwell, UK, is not evidence of the existence of UFOs. The expert believes that this is just a blurry image of a seagull or a deflated balloon.

Watson also claims that this photo is actually a screenshot from a UFO video taken by Arthur Robles in Mexico. The expert believes that governments know that the manipulation of alleged UFOs can be used to control the minds of the population. Therefore, the drain of these personnel can deal a big blow to the reputation of those institutions that use this practice in their work.

Many governments understand the real power of people's belief in UFOs, so they are willing to use the Internet to spread and reinforce these beliefs among the public. Unfortunately, there are no text attachments to the photos stolen by Snowden that could reveal the purpose of such deception.

According to the expert, proof of this belief is the fact that these fake photographs were kept as documents of special secrecy. Why should the special services guard the fakes so hard?
