Even in ancient sources, there are statements that the Earth is hollow inside, and underground inhabitants live in its depths. It would seem that this is just the result of an early naive understanding of the structure of the world, when the sciences were still in their infancy. Soviet Academician V. Obruchev put forward a hypothesis about a giant meteorite that fell to the Earth in a distant prehistoric era, breaking through its crust and forming a cavity. And in the opinion of theoretical physicist J. Wheeler, electromagnetic radiation when colliding with the force of gravity is capable of curving space and forming "black holes", inside which light is enclosed, - geons, from which planets can emerge over time.
