The smallest man in Russia, Konstantin Morozov, died in the Dimitrovgrad nursing home, whose height was only 63 centimeters
A small man with a big soul. This is how everyone who knew him spoke about 73-year-old Konstantin Morozov. And the workers and residents of the orphanage for the elderly and disabled, where Konstantin Ivanovich spent the last 24 years of his life, still cannot believe that this optimist is gone.
But many trials fell to the lot of this man. And each movement cost Konstantin Ivanovich enormous efforts. Chondrodystrophy - this is how doctors diagnosed Morozov as a child. This means that instead of bones, it has soft cartilages. This explains the small growth of Konstantin Ivanovich - 63 centimeters. But the congenital disease did not prevent the smallest person in Russia from going through life with dignity.
In recent days, Morozov has become very weak. He was already having difficulty making out what was being said to him. Maya Ermolaeva, a resident of the nursing home, looked after him. On the night of March 8-9, the woman, as usual, was on duty at the bedside of Konstantin Ivanovich. Toward midnight, his condition began to deteriorate, and at 1 am Morozov died.
