It is very rare to meet one albino raccoon either in the zoo or in the wild. And then as many as three were born, but at once
Little white raccoons were found in a nest in the basement of an ordinary apartment building near Victoria Park on Finch Avenue (Toronto, Canada).
“At first we saw one white man and did not understand what it was. They decided that it was a fox or a rat, say the residents of the house, "and then they saw a dark one and recognized a raccoon in it."
People have alerted the Wildlife Society. An employee of the department says that he saw white raccoons only twice in his 27 years of work and that three albinos were born in one litter at once is one chance in 10 million.
One cub was found in the basement, the other three in the attic, where their mother dragged them, frightened by such attention from people and noise around the house. There, on the roof, Wildlife Officer Brad Gates photographed all three albino raccoons. He says the animals won't go to the shelter because they are not sick and they belong in the wild.

It was decided to leave the little raccoons in the attic, where the mother had dragged them so as not to injure her and the kids by moving to a new place of residence. Gates is confident that the mother will soon drag the babies to another safer place.
