The small village of Kuzyaevo is located in the Ramensky District of the Moscow Region, about forty kilometers from the capital. For a long time, the local craftsmen were famous for their porcelain and earthenware products, and in the 19th century even a whole porcelain factory was opened, which successfully worked until the Soviet era. However, at the end of the 20th century, Kuzyaevo acquired another fame in rather narrow circles of ufologists and researchers of the paranormal.
It all started in 1998, when the Moscow physicist V. V. Rudenko came to his summer cottage in Kuzyaevo in the summer. As usual, he dug the beds, drank tea in the morning on the veranda, read books under the apple tree, went to the forest for mushrooms, until in one of these exits he accidentally stumbled upon several strange craters in the ground. The craters were located among the trees not very far from the edge and forest path. The man carefully examined them - they were three neat cone-shaped pits, from a meter to almost two in diameter. Anyone else in his place would not pay much attention to the funnels - “Well, pits and pits. Just think, what a deal!”. However, the inquisitive mind of the scientist immediately noticed some very unusual features of his find.
Firstly, the funnels were very neat - the correct conical shape, smooth walls - you can't dig it with a shovel. Secondly, the pits were clearly fresh - no more than 1-2 days old. The damp earth on the walls was still talking about this, but - which greatly surprised the physicist - there was nowhere near the excavated soil. There were no traces at all. If people had dug such holes, they would have trampled all the grass, and the earth would have been piled up in a large heap, which simply could not disappear without a trace. The researcher found all this very strange, and he called his colleagues.
A few days later, a scientific group headed by Tatyana Fominskaya arrived in Kuzyaevo. Rudenko took his colleagues to the funnels, where they set up a small field laboratory: they took soil and plant samples, measured the electromagnetic field. Among the arriving researchers there were also supporters of dowsing methods, which are not recognized by official science.
A few days later, when the group returned to Moscow and processed the collected materials, a verdict was issued: the influence of the fields of geobiological networks and energy anomalies prevails in Kuzyaevo. Studies of the soil and plants taken did not reveal anything unusual, but individual members of the expedition, who, according to their own words, are inclined to perceive energy fields, definitely felt something near those craters. What exactly - they could not explain, however, as well as official science.
The story about Kuzyaevskie funnels did not go further than narrow scientific circles, but even in them, many treated it with distrust: “He got bored of digging beds in the country, so he decided to play everyone with his funnels. However, V. V. Rudenko never chased sensations, and in general such an approach to business was unusual for him.
Soon the organization "Cosmopoisk" learned about the craters. This is not surprising, because it included scientists from various fields of knowledge, many of whom have already heard about funnels. These people were not limited to strict scientific postulates and were often engaged in the study of various anomalous phenomena. A year later, the Kosmopoisk expedition left for Kuzyaevo.

The expedition included physicists, biologists, geologists and chemists. In last year's craters, soil samples were again taken, and a detailed examination of the entire forest square revealed two more craters, previously unnoticed. The researchers even dug up one of the craters, but found nothing unusual.
A survey of local residents gave the most for the results of the expedition. To a simple question: "Have you noticed anything unusual near Kuzyaevo?" already the second person - a middle-aged man - suddenly quite seriously told how last summer, when he went out to his garden late in the evening, he noticed a bright glow above the forest, as if someone had installed a huge searchlight on the top of a pine tree. When his eyes got used to it, he saw the outline of a luminous ball that slowly floated over the forest, and then suddenly went out and disappeared into the night sky. The man pointed exactly to the forest where the craters were found. Later, several more people, in one form or another, repeated the story of the first eyewitness.
The researchers were delighted - their expedition shed some light on the probable origin of the craters. There could be no collusion between eyewitnesses - in most cases they were people of different ages who did not know each other. From a granny, who really could have imagined anything, to middle-aged people who permanently live in Kuzyaevo or come every year to their dacha. All their stories coincided in one thing: a luminous ball flew over the forest. Most saw him last year during the summer, and one eyewitness a month ago. All this allowed the researchers to conclude that UFOs appear in the sky over Kuzyaevo regularly until now.
Various assumptions have been made about the origin of the craters. This could have been the landing site for an alien ship, but the craters were located not in open areas, but in the depths of the forest, which spoke against this version. Someone suggested that the aliens could leave capsules on Earth, which sooner or later will show themselves - as in one well-known movie, and therefore the craters - the places where the capsules are immersed in the ground - are very important to excavate and take their contents under control as soon as possible. However, the version that each funnel is a hole found the most support. Probably, alien guests are interested in our civilization, they are exploring the Earth and therefore took soil samples. They could do this directly from the ship using a special lifting device, that is, without landing. A completely logical question follows from this version:who will aliens take on experiments when they explore soil, plants and animals?
As is often the case in this kind of research, there were many more questions than answers, and the answers were more like vague assumptions. In the next two years, enthusiasts from the ranks of "Kosmopoisk" every summer at the first opportunity went to Kuzyaevo, lived there in a field camp near the village, and waited for a new UFO appearance. Most of these trips were not crowned with success, only in 2001 one scientist still saw the coveted glowing ball, when in the evening he went from the camp to the stream to wash. While I was running to the tents for the camera, the ball went out. Subsequently, colleagues made fun of him for a long time.
The Kuzyaevskie funnels were soon forgotten, until five years later, in the mid-2000s, another Kosmopoisk expedition went there again. Young cadres who were eager to "fight" the unknown grew up. But when they arrived in Kuzyaevo, they were surprised to find that most of the craters had disappeared - as if they had never existed at all. Level ground, overgrown with grass, thick turf. As if the soil taken earlier was also carefully returned to its place. Here, the researchers got completely confused, but the version with the pits was still the most logical for them.
In subsequent years, significant events related to the Kuzyaevskie funnels no longer occurred. But if you believe the records on the Internet, the luminous ball continued to appear in the night sky until August 15, 2011, when it was last seen.
