Aleksey Komanev, the coordinator of the Russian UFO community in Yekaterinburg, believes that an unidentified flying object crashed into the Chelyabinsk meteorite before it fell to Earth, and split it into pieces. He stated this on February 28 at a press conference.
“Certain ambiguities arise, at first we also adhered to the version that this is an ordinary cosmic body, a meteorite. But facts began to appear. Videos began to appear on the Internet, at least three, of how some object catches up with a meteorite, flies through it and the meteorite disintegrates, explodes. Of course it could be a glare, but there is a video from several angles. So many videos make us assume that this is indeed the case. The second reason confirming this fact is that since the end of 2012, UFO activity has increased, we have begun to receive more eyewitness testimonies, Komanev emphasized.
The ufologist does not deny the possibility that highly developed civilizations saved the Earth, since if the meteorite fell in an undisturbed form, then the consequences could be much more serious.
Scientists studying the meteorite argue that cosmic bodies of this scale explode in an absolutely natural way, falling into the Earth's atmosphere. And the so-called UFO activity, or rather, the increase in the number of eyewitness testimonies, speaks of arousing the imagination of citizens in connection with the expectation of the end of the world on 2012-21-12.
Note, earlier a version was also put forward that the meteorite could be shot down by a rocket.
