According to Ukrainian ufologists - scientists researching UFOs - aliens have visited Ukraine 1198 times. The last time was on March 17 this year. All such cases become known from eyewitness accounts. And studying them, including a native of the Irshav region, Yaroslav Sochka.

Aleksandra Kukol talks to him about everything related to unidentified flying objects in the newspaper Zakarpatskaya Pravda (article published at the end of March 2013).

UFOs can be a time machine or secret developments of special services

Yaroslav, how did your passion for ufology begin?

- Since 1989, when I first saw a UFO. I was 12 years old. Winter, about nine in the morning. I was walking to school and saw in the sky a bright yellow object in the shape of a crescent upside-down. He floated slowly over the horizon. The vision lasted 15-20 seconds. Since then, he has acted as an eyewitness of unidentified flying objects several times, but the first meeting set life priorities - it forced him to enroll in the ranks of ufologists.

Now I am not at all indifferent to what flies over our heads, as other eyewitnesses are telling, because I myself was convinced that there is an unknown intelligence on Earth! Who is this - extraterrestrial intelligence, or any other terrestrial culture, or an unknown form of life? Actually, I've been looking for answers to these questions for many years. In 1993 he graduated from the school in non-traditional areas of science and technology "Basis" at the "Soyuzufocenter" with a degree in ufology.

You were one of the first in Ukraine to search for UFO eyewitnesses. How was it done?

Promotional video:

- In fact, the collection and processing of ufological information in Ukraine began in the 1970s. The state was interested in the issue of security, the military - new technological opportunities, the public - are we alone in the Universe? I supported the relay race of collecting and processing UFO eyewitness testimony on a voluntary basis in the late 1990s, heading the UFO UFO club. Mainly, data about UFOs in our archive came and are coming from our employees: scientists, enthusiastic researchers, journalists … But the main asset of the organization is the witnesses of unidentified flying objects themselves.

Personally, I was looking for like-minded people from different parts of the country, corresponded with them, and shared information. He recorded all the facts. Now, by the way, in Ukraine there are dozens of informal associations of ufologists and thousands of enthusiasts. But no one coordinates their work, there is no single central press organ, a single data archive. And in the media, due to the lack of reliable information, the very problem of anomalous phenomena, unfortunately, often boils down to amateurism, charlatanism and superstition.

What is the UFODOS organization created by you doing now?

- We continue to collect, store and process ufological information. Now it comes from the territory of all Ukraine through telephone, electronic, printed and other information collection lines. Moreover, this is not some kind of internal information, but a public, open project - UFOBUA. All available information is available on the web at www.ufobua.org.ua. The convenient interface of the site will help you to find in the database any episode with a UFO over Ukraine, filter out a certain form of UFO, follow the flight paths, study temporary activations, historical analogies, etc. Here, in fact, there is a lot of space for statistical work! We are working on mechanisms for identifying UFOs and tracking them in near real time.

Do you communicate with like-minded people from other countries?

- Of course, we exchange information, experience, discuss joint projects. The UFO phenomenon is international. They explain it in different ways, and yet many in us and abroad consider UFOs to be vehicles of alien civilizations. This is one of the key hypotheses, but there is no irrefutable evidence that these are aliens. With the same success, UFOs can be a time machine or secret developments of special services.

Favorite UFO regions - Kiev and Crimea

Recently there have been many cases when people confused ordinary flashlights or other modern fireworks with UFOs. How can you tell them apart?

- It is clear that the ordinary observer is not an expert in the field of aircraft identification. Moreover, it is difficult even for the military, armed with special means and devices to control the airspace. That is why very often UFOs are confused with certain astronomical or technological phenomena. I want to emphasize: about 70% of the information that comes to the archive of our club is rejected at the initial stage of its consideration.

In general, we recognize more than 90% of the arrays unsuitable, and only in some cases can we talk about those where there is a high probability of "true UFOs". As for the "Chinese lanterns", it is very simple to identify them: they have a flashing color (from yellow to red), fly in the wind, mostly several balls at the same time - on a weekend or a holiday, their "life" time is no more than 30 minutes.

The first mentions of UFOs date back to very ancient times …

- There is a so-called “paleocontact” hypothesis, which seeks to answer the question: has there been a “collision” of representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations with the inhabitants of the Earth in the history of mankind or in its prehistory? What influence did they have on the development of mankind and were they not involved at all in the origin of life on Earth? The hypothesis of paleocontact can be supported by numerous legends and written monuments of different peoples, where the “sons of heaven”, “sons of the sun”, “flying dragons”, “fiery chariots” and others are mentioned in one form or another.

And chroniclers also wrote about the appearance of UFOs over Russia. For example, in the "Tale of Bygone Years" by Nestor there is an entry dated 1092: "A wonderful miracle appeared in Polotsk in obsession. At night there was a stomp, something groaned in the street, demons roamed like people. If anyone left the house, he was immediately invisibly wounded by the demons with an ulcer and from that he died. Then they began to appear on horses during the day, but they themselves were not visible, but the horses' hooves were visible … And there was a sign in the sky - like a great circle in the middle of the sky. " There are many such examples: people described at that time what we today call the abbreviation UFO - an unidentified flying object.

What regions of Ukraine are the most popular for UFOs?

- According to the statistics of the ufological map of Ukraine, the north and south are in the lead - Kiev and Crimea, respectively. Perhaps this is due to the density of the population, with certain geographical features. In addition, UFOs were often recorded in the Kharkiv region, Donetsk region, Odessa region, in Dnepropetrovsk region, over Transcarpathia. In our region, UFOs were seen over Uzhgorod, Uzhgorod, Tyachev, Mukachev, Khust and Irshav regions.

There are people in Transcarpathia who have contacted UFOs

You can remember interesting cases of UFO sightings that happened in Transcarpathia

- In June 1984, in Uzhgorod, suddenly one of the three flying UFOs flared up and fell on the territory of Bozdosky Park. This was witnessed by the director of the park and the watchman, who picked up the wreckage and took them for examination to the space research laboratory of Uzhgorod National University. In the absence of equipment and methods for researching incomprehensible things, they were transferred to the astronomical council of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

However, there was no idea what kind of material it was, so they were forced to transfer the debris to another organization, which also could not explain their origin. Finally, the astronomers in Uzhgorod were politely thanked for the find and at the same time informed that they had a lot of data on similar phenomena, both in Europe and in Asia. An interesting incident also occurred on November 17, 1989. Then the Rakhovsky firemen were informed about a fire on the farm in the village of Bogdan.

However, when they arrived at the place, it turned out that this was not a fire, but a strange heavenly fire, similar to a scarlet cloud that flew at high speed. After a while, residents of Khust, Irshavsky, Mukachevsky, Uzhgorodsky districts and the regional center saw her. And in March 1991, a resident of the village of Bilki, Irshavsky district, said that he saw a bright ball in the sky, it allegedly landed, then the person heard some kind of incomprehensible speech. After a few minutes, the object began to rise until it completely disappeared from the field of view. And there were many such cases.

Do you know people who have had contact with aliens?

- Yes, and there are many such people in Ukraine. I remember that in 1989 a person from the Kirovograd region had contact of the fifth type. Today this grandfather turned 70, but his case still no one can explain. In Transcarpathia, for example, in 1991, a resident of Mukachevo, having seen a UFO in the sky, found strange images in the form of tree leaves on her body. Later, she showed the ability to clairvoyance. And in 1994, Uzhgorodka claimed that she had met with creatures of extraterrestrial origin.

How seriously is ufology developed in Ukraine today?

- Ufology in Ukraine, as in most countries of the world, refers to quasi-scientific (this is a synonym for "parasciences") - primarily due to the lack of irrefutable evidence of the existence of the phenomena that it studies. The organization uniting Ukrainian ufologists is non-governmental, we do not receive state support, as it is in some European countries, and all the work of scientists and amateurs rests on their enthusiasm.

PS Yaroslav Sochka (pictured on the left) was born in 1977 in the Irshav region. In 1998 he founded the UFO UFO Club, the author of the UFO Dictionary (1998-2004), the books UFO over Kiev (2011), UFO. Ukrainian epic "(2011), numerous publications on ufological topics. Since 2011, together with GO "Vizhy-3000" has been promoting the idea of creating a coordinating center for relations with extraterrestrial civilizations.

In April 2011, Yaroslava Sochka, by the decision of the international council "Vizhy-3000", was awarded an international badge for his significant contribution to the development of ufology, great scientific work on the study of the "UFO phenomenon" and anomalous phenomena.
