NASA's 2005 satellite image captures what is believed to be the biggest mystery of Loch Ness in Scotland.
Loch Ness in Scotland. It seems to me this is the most mysterious lake in the entire globe. There are so many legends, legends and fairy tales associated with this place nowhere else in the whole world.
Back in the 6th century, a story was told how a huge snake rose from the waters of this mountain lake and drowned a horse, along with a monk from a local monastery. They say that the novices of the monastery tried to fight off the unfortunate monk, but this was unsuccessful. Then sightings of the strange creature became quite frequent. In the late 19th century, a powerful monster allegedly drowned a pleasure yacht along with its passengers. The most interesting thing is that this yacht was never found. And the people who drowned with her, indeed, disappeared.
In the 30s and 40s, I was lucky enough to take several photographs of an inhabitant of Loch Ness. However, only one photograph is genuine. The rest turned out to be commonplace fakes. In 2018, they even made a video. It shows that a long body appears from the water, similar to a huge snake. Then she hides back into the water. But the authenticity of this video is doubtful.
Even more interesting is the story of one woman who, together with her husband, watched the monster for several minutes. In her words, the head of the snake resembles the head of a horse, even has a kind of mane. The body itself is very massive, rather wide and very long. Its approximate length is about 30 meters. Which is significantly longer than the size of the Amazonian anaconda in Latin America.
During World War II, pilots often saw a giant water serpent swimming in the waters of Loch Ness. However, at that time there was no time for him, so no one paid attention to their messages.
In the 20th century, the story of Nessia (as it is customary to call this monster) began to bring significant income. Boat trips and small yachts are organized daily on the lake. There are several hotels and campgrounds on the lake. The local market is packed with souvenirs. They also sell a large number of allegedly genuine photographs and videos. They all have Nessias on them. But, as a rule, all this refers to banal fakes.
So is there really Nessiah, or is this all a common legend?

Most surprising of all, there is one very serious, documentary proof that Nessiah really exists. In the archive of the Google Earth website for 2005, at the coordinates 57.338231 °, -4.394468 ° there is a photograph of that very monster. A NASA satellite captured the monster in the lens as it rose to the surface. By the shape of the body, it most of all looks like a water snake. The thickness of the body is 2 meters, the total length is more than 30 meters. The head is large, with massive jaws. This is a living being, not a net, not some kind of driftwood or tree. The creature floats through the water column. I think this is the only satellite photograph of this creature. I found this photo myself and for quite some time, in 2015. Can this be called proof of the veracity of this legend? I think you can. Since the photo shows the snake's body completely, and you can even establish its approximate dimensions. How old this mysterious creature can be, I can't even say. It seems to me that he is already many hundreds of years old. I don't think it's lonely. There are probably several of them, perhaps about a dozen individuals. But the fact that it has not yet caught the hunters for the elusive Nessia proves the fact that it is afraid of people in general.
