At this time, the boy climbed from the balcony onto the platform for attaching the air conditioner to the outer wall of the house. It flew, making two turns in the air and hitting the plastic canopy.
A neighbor named Li Dehai, who noticed the boy was falling, caught him with his bare hands while standing on a stool. The child was taken to the hospital, where the doctors found that he remained safe and sound. Tehai got off with only bruises on his hands, he is recovering from the incident.
The man said that he saved the boy instinctively. “We couldn't just watch him fall and do nothing. It all happened very quickly. I had no other thoughts at that moment but to save him,”he said.
