The most amazing thing is that on the same night, for some unknown reason, a house exploded, which was visible from the windows of his apartment. The cook and the janitor were killed.

One concluded that Filippov died of a heart attack, the other that from poisoning with hydrocyanic acid vapor.
A freelance doctor, Polyansky, invited by the deceased's family as an independent expert, wrote in Latin: “Mors ex causa ignota” (“death from an unknown cause”).
The city was filled with rumors and speculation, fables were written. The scientist's scientific works were confiscated and for some reason disappeared in the bowels of the security department. There is a version that they burned down during a fire in 1917. The scientist sympathized with the revolutionaries, and his possible death was not an accident during the experiment.
Professor Trachevsky gave a very interesting interview to Petersburg Vedomosti. Three days before the tragic death of the scientist, they saw each other and talked.
“As a historian,” Trachevsky said, “M. M. (Mikhail Mikhailovich Filippov) could tell about his plan only in the most general terms. When I reminded him of the difference between theory and practice, he firmly said: "It has been verified, there have been experiments, and I will do it."
The essence of the secret of M. M. told me approximately, as in a letter to the editor. And more than once he said, banging his hand on the table: “It's so simple, moreover, it's cheap! In 1913, important new details appeared. The missing person. Lt. Col. Anthony Godley, 49, security expert and head of training at the Royal Military College of Science. He disappeared in April 1983. A mysterious death in Moscow also befell the 83-year-old professor Bondarevsky. Grigory Bondarevsky was a prominent orientalist, an expert on the problems of the North Caucasus.

In 2009, Professor Andrei Gorobets, a fairly well-known nuclear physicist, was shot dead in downtown Washington under unclear circumstances. He declared quite loudly, there were several publications in the press: the scientific center in which he worked sharply refused to finance his development, and the professor was robbed of the laboratory and began to intimidate his wife and adult daughter in every possible way - both of them were American citizens. Andrei Gorobets, of course, did not remain silent, but told about the pressure in the newspapers.
As a result of psychological treatment, both women refused to leave for Russia with the professor, and the scientist's departure was thus delayed. “Andrei met with people from the CIA several times, at least he called them that when he told me about it,” says another physicist living in America from Russia, Aron Fridland. - They persuaded not to leave, they threatened that they would trample on his reputation in the scientific community, would not invite him to lecture and block the printing of all his scientific works. But Andrei was determined to leave. He even persuaded his wife to follow him and bought two plane tickets. And then they kill him. At the same time, no one knows the details of the murder, although quite a lot of time has passed”.
In 2010, Alexander Pikayev, head of the Department for Disarmament and Conflict Resolution of the Center for International Security of the IMEMO RAN, died in Malta under strange circumstances. The death of Alexander Pikayev is a grievous and largely irreparable loss for the staff of the Institute, the Russian and world expert community in the field of international security issues. According to the Times of Malta, a mark from the blow was visible on the head of the deceased. However, law enforcement agencies were in no hurry to enter: perhaps the injury was received during the fall. The police noted that when Pikayev's body was discovered, his computer was still working, all data was deleted.
In Zhukovsky, Gennady Pavlovets, an outstanding aerodynamicist, doctor of technical sciences, professor, laureate of the State Prizes of Russia and Ukraine, the N. Ye. Zhukovsky Prize, advisor to the TsAGI Directorate, and an honorary citizen of the city of Zhukovsky, was killed. He worked on the creation of the 5th generation aircraft. For 10 years, about 40 world-famous Russian scientists have died under strange circumstances. Are the aliens involved in this case? Most probably not. But who and for what killed these people?
