All my life I have lived in the village, and when my parents and I went to the city, I was very surprised that many houses had some kind of basement, or underground floors. The windows literally went into the ground and I could not understand why this was done, because those basements that I saw were either completely without windows, or with small "loopholes".

When I asked my parents about this, they told me that these were not basements, but the first floors of buildings, just over time they go underground, because the city was built practically on a swamp. Then this explanation was enough for me. Now there are more questions than answers to them.

The first "bell" was the fact that the old houses somehow too evenly go underground.

I work as a photographer and often bring newlyweds to the “old town”. During the processing of photographs I was surprised that despite these underground floors of the building there was no need to align, all the ornaments and other details were in the same condition as they were intended. Unlike older buildings, this cannot be said about houses of the Soviet period, and new houses are often covered with cracks as a result of subsidence.

Has construction technology really deteriorated so much?..

Many argue that the ancient master builders relied on the fact that the building would go underground and built so that everything was tip-top even in this case. Others argue that this is a cultural layer, which, year after year, grew by centimeter, thereby "capturing" the first floor.

In 2017, during the restoration of the Polytechnic Museum, it was discovered that about 7 meters of the building had been buried on the ground!

Such a wicked shrinkage isn't it? Or Muscovites don't like to clean the streets, it's easier to put a couple more layers of asphalt than to clean it all up, so what?

In addition, this does not explain in any way the presence of mysterious dungeons, the length of which could not be determined. And this is in a city built as they say in a swamp! All these "minus first" floors would have been filled with water long ago, let alone the dungeons, the construction technology of which is in doubt. Now we are told that this is a sewer system of the 16th - late 20th centuries, the depth of which in some places reaches more than 50 meters, just imagine how to perform this kind of work armed only with a shovel and a pickaxe.

The story is the same in St. Petersburg - the first or even the second floors underground. When asked why, if, as the first floor is said to be a basement, the basement itself is also present below? Why is it necessary to build down if it is easier to build up?

The flooded version is even sillier. Really, if so much sand brought flooding, the roads would not be cleared ?! There are many examples, but the townspeople did not abandon everything and cleaned everything up. There are dungeons in St. Petersburg. Why not flooded is also a question. In Kazan, in the 90s, they wanted to build an underground street, but failed - the groundwater made amendments to the budget, and was left unfinished. Although we are more interested in another thing - during construction, 5 meters of buildings under the ground were exposed.

Naturally, it was a complete structure. An interesting idea of the architect - a surprise for posterity.

The Vrubel Museum in Omsk also has a "bonus" floor. And even the design of the building confirms the presence of an earth floor, but why does it need windows and a front entrance ?!

Dungeons in Kazan are the same. Extreme enthusiasts research them, but there is very little information.

In Europe, it is not clear for what reasons there are also many filled-up buildings. For example, in Prague they explain this by the fact that it was decided to raise the city higher and fill the voids with earth. Further compaction was carried out. And vaulted ceilings and arches were made to strengthen the structure. Do you understand what they say ?! I'm not quite … People built tall buildings, at some point they decided to shorten them by covering them with earth by 60 meters, rammed them … Then they go down to make redevelopment - it's stupid.

And everything that we just talked about is not so well known as the Parisian "underground city" or the catacombs in Egypt and Rome. In the age of the Internet it is very difficult to hide information - there will definitely be a person who will see the lie … and tell others. And lies are everywhere, because if they really didn’t know … And then a direct deception - they provide drawings and plans with supposedly conceived underground floors. If logical questions were followed by a logical answer, they say we don't know, let's figure it out … But apparently I know, but they hide it.

I certainly do not pretend to be the opening of the year, but I still have a little "oil" for you for our fire.

What if I tell you that if there is not 5 meters of a building underground, but much more?

I have always wondered why on the tops of high-rise buildings in America there are such strange roofs as if they put a temple on a skyscraper. Or maybe it was always built like this, maybe those architectural monuments that we see here and in Europe are just the top of a skyscraper built before the end of the 19th century?

Just look at these photos - the roofs of high-rise buildings are nothing more than our temples and cathedrals.

But what happened to them, why are they so deep underground, or rather from where so much land that buried almost the entire continent underneath.

I don’t know what you think about this, but I think this is another proof of the nuclear war of the 19th century.
