As Moscow's chief archaeologist Leonid Kondrashev told reporters, in the near future, scientists plan to revise the real age of the Russian capital. The need to carry out this work is evidenced by numerous historical findings and related facts.

According to Russian historians, the topic of the age of ancient cities has always been controversial. To reconsider the true age of Moscow, scientists were prompted by the fact that in the 10th century a certain city was located on the territory of the Russian capital. According to history, it was to him that Prince Yuri Dolgoruky came, and after a while the Slavs settled in the settlement. It is noted that before the aforementioned events, the territory of present-day Moscow belonged to the Finno-Ugric tribes.

At the moment, the main Moscow archaeologist Leonid Kondrashev and his colleagues are trying to figure out which point to start the age of the Russian capital would be more correct to choose. So far, science recognizes only one date - 1147. As Kondrashev noted, irrefutable facts and evidence capable of rewriting history will soon be obtained.
