On October 16, 1989, the inhabitants of Taganrog saw one-legged creatures that looked like robots, which nevertheless deftly moved along huge pipes leading to the Krasny Kotelshchik machine-building plant. At the same time at the plant… the machines started up by themselves! Eyewitnesses did not suspect that a meeting with these creatures could end in a much more unpleasant way.
Abduction
On September 15, 1977, Antonio Bogato La Rubia, a 33-year-old bus driver from Pasiencia, Brazil, was getting ready for work as usual. He got up at two in the morning to be in time for his shift, put himself in order and left the house at 2.15-2.20. As he passed the field, he saw an object of dull lead color, in the shape of a hat, at least 70 meters in diameter - the field was that wide, and the edges of the object went beyond it.
As soon as La Rubia realized that he was seeing (he had never believed in UFOs before), he decided to run home, but he could not: at that moment a dazzling bright light illuminated the area. He saw three "robots" nearby. They were 1.4 meters high, but the antennae protruding from the tops of their heads were even higher. Their heads were in the shape of rugby balls with a stripe in the middle that looked like a row of small bluish mirrors: some of the "mirrors" were slightly darker than others.
Their bodies, according to Antonio, were squat with some kind of outgrowths instead of hands, ending with pointed ends resembling a finger. The bodies were covered with rough plates resembling scales, rounded from below and ended in one leg. At first it seemed to Antonio that they were sitting on something, but then he realized that this was not so. The leg ended with a "platform" similar in shape and size to a plate. The whole body looked like tarnished aluminum.
On the field, one of the "robots" stood in front of him, one on the side and one behind. When the light fell on him, La Rubia was paralyzed. One of them was holding what looked like a syringe. He lifted this device, pointed it at La Rubia, and he, without feeling his legs, swam towards the disc. He does not remember how he got inside: at first he was seized by a shiver, and then he was in the corridor, on the other side of the wall. Two "robots" also entered there. Looking back, Antonio saw a field; it seemed to him that the body of the UFO was transparent. At that moment, he felt that the ship was lifted off the ground.
As he looked around, a bright light came on and he saw himself standing in a large circular room. The light seemed to come from the ceiling. In the room, he saw 12 "robots" on one side and the same number on the other. They looked like the kids in the classroom to him, because their legs looked like bar chairs.

Suddenly Antonio was able to speak again and he shouted, “What do you want? Who you are? To his great amazement, all the creatures fell to the floor, as if because of the sound of his voice. The light became bright again, blinding him. He continued to flounder from fear and from the fact that it was very difficult for him to breathe. Antonio could not hear his own breathing, but he could hear the sounds of the creatures breathing, which puzzled him, since they seemed to be robots.
When he began to scream, all the creatures lifted the branches to the tips of the antennae, holding them with their hands. Prior to that, the antennas were rotating so fast that he could not see their true shape. As they held the antennae with their tines, he saw that the antennae were shaped like a teaspoon.
The only object in the entire room was a small piano-like apparatus in front of Antonio. It was a box-shaped thing about 15-17 cm wide, standing on two supports, reaching to his chest. Along its edges, on each side, there were antennas, and on one side there were piano-like keys.
In this box, the creatures put devices that resembled syringes, removed from the hooks on their belts. Each time this was done, a color image would appear on the wall of the UFO, showing different scenes.
Antonio was shown a number of pictures, and each time, as it was done, the creature put the "syringe" in the box, pressed the button, and an image appeared:
- Antonio, naked, lies on an invisible table, his arms swinging, his legs extended; two creatures examine him with small blue lights, directing beams to the chest and head, while another creature examines his head with a blue light that does not emit a beam. Everything was dyed blue, even his hair, which he saw in the painting.
- Antonio, still naked, stands.
- Antonio, dressed, drags a shopping bag, waving his other hand; his teeth are chattering and he looks very nervous.
- A horse-drawn cart is driving along a country road. It is run by a peasant in a straw hat, barefoot and in a torn shirt. Antonio did not know what this area was.
- Antonio stands next to a bright orange ball.
- One of the creatures is standing next to a ball, this time a bluish color.
- A huge dog, drooling, tries to bite one of the creatures, but cannot do it. Then it begins to melt from top to bottom, turning into a liquid porridge.
- You can see a factory, apparently "them", where UFOs are made. The whole scene is flooded with light and goes into the distance, there is no end in sight. There are three rows of UFOs, those in the two right rows are almost ready, and in the left row there are only unfinished frames. These creatures swarm around, there are millions of them, but Antonio did not see any tools in their processes.
- A train, seemingly old, without windows, enters the tunnel and disappears from sight.
- A street full of cars, similar to Avenida Vargas, one of the busiest streets in Rio de Janeiro.
Ufologist Irene Granci squeezed out of La Rubia with difficulty. that after the episode where he stood naked, there was a picture where he was depicted dressed, suffering from an attack of vomiting and staining his pants. Fortunately, the latter did not happen when Antonio came home all sick after the "contact", although he did vomit.
Antonio also told Mrs. Granci that the creatures had taken his blood: one of the creatures came to the center of the room where he was standing, removed one of the "syringes" from his belt with his right appendage. The syringe began to spin so fast that Antonio could not keep track of it. Then the device was aimed at him, the hand went up against his will, and the "syringe" was stuck in the middle finger on his right hand. He saw the "syringe" fill with blood until it was almost full. He did not understand how this was done, since he did not feel the needle, and after taking the blood, no traces were left on the finger. Then the creature that took the blood pointed with a syringe at the picture and drew three circles, apparently with Antonio's blood, then crossed these circles with a sign in the form of the letter B.
Consequences of contact
Then Antonio was somehow thrown overboard. When he was on the ground, there was one of the creatures nearby. All his belongings were with him, even the bag, which was not with him on board the UFO. The clock showed 2.20 at night. Turning around, he saw nothing or anyone.
Antonio went to the bus station and asked for the exact time. In fact, it was 2.50. He rearranged his watch. The bus arrived at 3.10, and he got to work on time. La Rubia felt sick, nervous, his whole body ached. Nevertheless, he drove the bus, but every now and then it darkened before his eyes. He worked all day and the next day, but when he got home he fell into bed.
While talking about this, he remembered another missing picture. He was wearing it with a smoking back; the pain and heat that he then experienced seemed to him somehow connected with this picture.
Antonio said nothing to his wife about what had happened. Diarrhea hit him this Friday and he felt terrible. On Saturday and Sunday he was still ill and missed work. On Sunday night, a burning sensation began, it spread throughout the body and was very painful. His wife rubbed his skin with alcohol to somehow relieve this discomfort.
Antonio got to the bus company on Monday and said he could not work. He was breathing hard, his body was burning and itching, so he asked a fellow worker to douse him with water. Co-workers said La Rubia looked "green as grass." When he walked, he had a feeling of emptiness, as if he was walking on a cloud. Nurse Estelita Ferreira from the bus company hospital wanted to inject him with a sedative, but the chauffeur refused, fearing it would get worse.
“The nurse discovered that my temperature was +42,” he later said. "I refused to be treated and was afraid of injections, because I did not know what reaction they would cause."
Dr. Neli Carbonale found him miserable, crying, not to mention fever, diarrhea and vomiting. He was combing himself red-hot and did not want to get dressed, did not want to be touched by the doctor. I had to tie him up and send him to another, larger hospital. There, too, at first they thought that he was crazy, as the driver constantly muttered something about UFOs. To his surprise, Antonio was eventually judged to be normal, albeit ill: he was diagnosed with a fever dangerous to his health. When La Rubia recovered a little, he was once again subjected to a psychiatric examination and was recognized as a normal person with a high IQ.
"One can only guess what Antonio's story means," Irene Granin said, "but it looks like it may give us another clue to the UFO phenomenon."
Strange "creatures"
If La Rubia's "contact" is so absurd, then what happened in the same year to 19-year-old Lee Parrish from Prospect, PA. Kentucky, does not fit into any framework of common sense at all. On January 27, 1977, at 1 am, he left the house of a girl he knew, got into the car and drove home - it was seven minutes away.
Driving along the freeway, Parrish noticed a red UFO hovering above the trees at an altitude of 30-45 m. It shone like the sun at sunset. The object was rectangular, about 12 m long and about 3 m high. Lee felt an irresistible urge to look at the object. He could not look away, although the red light blinded him. He got scared and wanted to leave as soon as possible, but could not do it. After 15 seconds, the radio went silent. The UFO hovered over it, then darted to the side with the speed of a jet plane, accelerated and disappeared. His flight was completely silent.
When Lee Parrish entered the house, his mother exclaimed, "What's wrong with your eyes?" He looked in the mirror and saw that the whites of his eyes were bloodshot. All day he felt a sharp pain in his eyes, but by evening it gradually subsided. It was 1.45 at night. This means that he spent not seven minutes on the road from Katie Johnson's house, as usual, but about 45 minutes.
Parrish's mother felt that something strange had happened to her son, and on the same day turned to Lawrence Allison, a hypnotist who had previously taken part in several investigations of UFO sightings.
On the evening of January 27, 1977, Allison, in the presence of ufologists Don Elkins and Karla Rückert, as well as Katie Johnson, conducted a hypnosis session.
Lee Parrish said under hypnosis that when he saw the UFO, he thought it was a fire, but immediately dropped the thought and got scared, asking himself over and over again: "What is this?" He could feel pain in his eyes as he looked at the bright red UFO, but he could not look away. The object did not seem to move, but suddenly it was above the car. Lee could not tell whether he continued to drive or not, only repeating in fright and surprise: "He is not moving!"
Suddenly Parrish stopped seeing anything. A second before, the UFO had changed from bright red to black, then to white. When his sight returned to him, he was not in the car, but in a round, completely white room. How he got into it does not know. The diameter of the room and the height of the ceiling were about 6 m, although from the outside the UFO did not appear so high. The walls of the room glowed with white light.
Before him stood three objects that he instinctively sensed as intelligent beings, although they did not look like people: "something black", "something red" and "something white." Something Black was on the left. It was high, up to the very ceiling, a rough resemblance of an army shooting target, also similar to a huge flat figure, with a relatively small "head". He had one "arm" - a process with one joint without a hand, covered with rough black skin. The surface of the rest of the "creature" was bumpy.
The "creature" slowly and smoothly moved towards Parrish and touched him left and behind, causing an unpleasant sensation and frightening him. At this point, Lee, who was in a trance, repeated: "No, no, no black!" The touch of the "hand" caused a sensation of cold and warmth at the same time, and Li felt the vibration.
The red "creature" was on the left, its height was slightly less than Parrish's height, its shape was a parallelepiped. He had one "arm" or a probe without joints. Lee had the feeling that the red "creature" was afraid and did not want to touch him, but he slowly raised his "hand" up and touched his shoulder and right temple, then to his ear and hair. It felt like a needle prick or an insect bite, but Lee felt no fear and the pain soon disappeared. Lee was very cold during this procedure. The ship rocked back and forth slightly, "like a boat on the water," as Lee put it.
The white "creature" was about 1.8 meters tall, as tall as Lee. It was in the center of the room, watching Lee. Its lower honor was massive, and its "head" rectangular, completely flat in front. The front of the "head" sloped at an angle of about 45 degrees. It glowed with white light. The "creature" had two "arms", but they remained motionless. Parrish sensed that this "creature" was "senior" in relation to the other two.
The red "creature", after touching Li, moved away and merged with the "white" creature. Lee did not understand whether the "red" creature entered the "white" or it went beyond him. Then the "white" creature began to move with a scraping noise, which is the case when using sandpaper. At this moment, the black "creature" slowly moved back. Lee, who had been very cold before, felt himself warming up again.
The white "creature" approached the black one and entered it or went behind it, after which only a tall black "creature" remained in the room, except for Lee. Then it just disappeared, and Lee was left alone in the lighted white room. He noticed that, possibly due to the bouncing and swaying of the apparatus, he felt heavier than usual.
Lee could not tell how he got from the white light room back to his car. He immediately began describing the return home, the burning eyes, his fright, and his mother's exclamation. He slept poorly at night, not because of bad dreams, but because of the burning eyes.
In the hypnotized story, Lee never used the word "telepathy" to explain what he knew about these machine-like creatures - for example, that they were thinking, that the red "being" was fearful, that the white "being" was in charge, and that it thought about him. Parrish sensed that they intended to re-contact him. When the researchers asked Lee how he hit the UFO and got back into the car, Lee said that the craft hovering over him hijacked the car and lifted it off the ground so that it hung in the air, but how Lee was hit by the UFO. He does not know. When he woke up again in the car, she was still hanging in the air, then smoothly sank onto the road, after which the UFO quickly flew away. The radio started working about 5 minutes after the UFO disappeared. The electrical equipment of the car began to work very poorly, and it had to be repaired.
When Lee was asked what he thinks about the procedures that the strange "creatures" performed on him, he replied that they probably wanted to know how his body works and what it is chemically. Why the creatures acted as if they saw a person for the first time remains a mystery: in other cases, the aliens, on the contrary, claimed that they had been observing humanity for a long time.
