In October last year, Swiss archaeologists discovered a very interesting artifact: a bronze hand with a gold cuff around the wrist, and next to it is a fragment of a human rib and a thin dagger.

Currently, the exhibits are in the storage of the Berne Archaeological Service, and the more experts work with them, the more they are perplexed. According to radiocarbon analysis, the ancient items (found near Prehle, Switzerland) are approximately 3,500 years old - they were made between 1500 - 1400 BC.

As a result, the artificial hand is not only the most authentic artifact of the Bronze Age of Europe, but also the oldest figure representing a part of a human body ever found. She was found in the damaged grave of an unknown highborn man. In addition to a hand with a gold cuff, other adornments were also found in the burial: a bronze spiral and a piece of gold - presumably another piece of precious gilding. The tomb itself was placed on top of another architectural element - this kind of "adjustment" scientists consider a symbol of the status of the deceased. Perhaps he not only possessed an elite status during his lifetime, but was even revered as a being of divine origin.
