Loyola University in New Orleans was opened in 1904, and since then, almost every year there have been reports of strange events taking place in this institution.
From 1916 to 1966, anatomy students occupied the fourth and fifth floors of Marquette Hall, and room 501 was undergoing autopsies. The rest of the premises on the fifth floor were given to the morgue. The elevator did not go up to the fifth floor, so the corpses were lifted with a crane.
In these rooms, to this day, students from time to time feel unexpected temperature changes. Here doors close and open by themselves, sometimes flickering lights appear. When the windows are open, the sound of a crane is sometimes heard.
Greenville Hall, built in 1883 for the Dominican nuns and the women's academy, is considered one of the university's most mysterious buildings. Many girls heard strange sounds and heart-rending screams in him in the middle of the night. According to legend, a pregnant nun hanged herself in this building.
Sometimes here they see a girl in a long white dress, disappearing as suddenly as she appears. Footsteps and the sounds of furniture being moved can be heard in the building. Here the temperature changes dramatically, the lights in the rooms turn on and off by themselves.
Among the many ghosts of the university, the one that plays the organ and lives in the campus bookstore is especially famous. The latter likes to make a mess after midnight.
In 1968, what is considered one of the university's most frightening legends took place at Buddig Hall. Two 18-year-old girls, Mary and Brenda, lived in Room 813 and loved to entertain themselves with Ouija board sessions. It is alleged that they managed to make contact with some evil spirits, among which was a woman named Hazel, who harmed her friend, who mocked the ghosts.

When the Reverend Cohen, assigned to the campus, learned about the girls' experiments with the blackboard, he demanded that they stop this entertainment, but they did not comply with his request. One day in the middle of the night, they were awakened by moving furniture. All the items on the shelves were rearranged, and posters were torn from the walls. The girls called Cohen's father, and he
performed a rite of exorcism. Despite this, there was still a lot of mystery going on in Buddig Hall. Students talked about strange sounds and how their furniture and refrigerators moved from place to place without permission. In 2010, when the students were fed up with what was happening, they held a seance in room 1108 and asked the ghost if he wanted to harm them. There was a growl in response.
Apparently, the spirits do not intend to leave Loyola University alone. Students who study here prefer to leave the lights on at night and hope to see at least one eye of one of the many ghosts that live here.
