“My husband and I moved to this house about a year ago. This is a duplex condo type apartment. And only 2-3 weeks after the move, I suddenly heard a loud and distinct knock at the door of our bedroom at night.
This knock woke me up and at first I thought about our two dogs, but then I saw that they were lying near our bed. And the knocking was so wary that it reminded me of a scene from a movie in which the police also knocked on the door of the suspect's apartment.
The dogs probably heard this knock too, they raised their heads and looked at the door. However, none of them started barking, which was extremely unusual.
I looked at my watch, it was midnight, after that I convinced myself that I had a nightmare. I was pregnant at the time and had restless dreams that felt very real. However, a few days later it happened again, and then again and again. Someone invisible happened at our bedroom door in the middle of the night, early in the morning and at noon.
Once I woke up not from a knock, but from an incomprehensible hiss, as if from an old working modem, and two more times I woke up and found our bedroom door open, although we close it at night.
My husband woke up only once from these blows. The fact is that he gets very tired at work and sleeps very soundly. But when I told him about the sound as from a working modem, he admitted that he also heard it, and more than once, but did not tell me, because he did not want to scare me.

After that, I started to get seriously worried, because most of the day I sit at home alone, just a little while my husband is at work. I told my sister about these anomalies and she began to advise me to imagine a protective screen and say out loud that you are protecting yourself and your home with this screen from everything bad that wants to enter our house.
I started doing it and it seemed like it worked. The house became quiet and calm. After a while, I gave birth to a child and thought that everything terrible was gone.
But recently it came back. My husband was then at work, and I was sitting in our bedroom and breastfeeding my daughter. The door was closed. And suddenly there was a loud knock on this door three times. This time both of my dogs reacted properly, one started barking at the door, and the other growled in the same direction.
I looked at the lower part of the door and nothing was visible there, that is, no one was standing in front of the door from that side. Then I went out and walked around the whole house, finding no one.
I will add that we have carbon monoxide (carbon monoxide) detectors in our house, that is, these were not hallucinations due to the toxic effects of the gas.
There is also another strange detail and I don't know. whether it is connected with knocking or not, but this is also something incomprehensible. We have a small cabinet under the stairs with a door for storing various household items, and over the past 3-4 months I twice caught the door of this cabinet ajar.
We never use this cabinet, and besides, it takes a fair amount of force to open this door, as it sticks. I took a photo of how this door looks normally closed (right) and open (left).

When I told my husband about this door, he checked for about half an hour if the door could open by itself. My husband does not believe in any kind of paranormalism, but he still could not understand how the door could open without the influence of any outside force on it.
After that, he asked the owner of the house about what was happening with this door and if he could come and check it. However, he said that it was most likely just a draft."
