In the depths of the sacred sea, on the shores of Lake Baikal, many secrets are hidden. If we put together various mysterious cases related to Lake Baikal or those that happened near its coast, a picture of the most real anomalous place is formed.
Thrones of Baikal
In 1972, six young people were vacationing on the shores of the Ambassador Bay. At night, far from the coast, they noticed a glow in the form of a bluish strip. Three guys sailed up there on a boat. The glow disappeared, but a luminous circle appeared - as if a bright spotlight beam was shining from the water column. The circle moved from side to side, then circled the boat twice and disappeared. This case is like "thrones" - luminous and rotating wheels on the surface of the water, which have long been observed by sailors in different parts of the oceans, the origin of which is inexplicable by natural causes. Similar light objects are observed in the cloudy sky.
A military secret
Apparently, the most unusual and most mysterious incident occurred in 1982 deep at the bottom of Lake Baikal. There is little information about this emergency, so you have to rely on word of mouth. According to rumors, in the north of Lake Baikal, military divers saw three-meter humanoids in tight-fitting silver overalls and ball-shaped helmets on their heads. When trying to catch the aliens with a net, a sudden ascent occurred. Three divers died from decompression sickness, and four became disabled (there was not enough space in the pressure chamber).

Note that there is still some truth in this story. In the north of the lake there is indeed a certain secret base of military divers. It is possible that there was some kind of emergency. Well, in the future, people could simply interpret in the spirit of a fantastic version. They also say that at the bottom of Lake Baikal, scientists from Irkutsk, using deep-sea vehicles, discovered huge tracks from the tracks of cars that do not exist in humans. Many said that they observed UFO flights over the lake in the form of greenish transparent triangles. As a result, one gets the impression that somewhere above Lake Baikal there is a UFO base. Or maybe there is a transition between parallel worlds on Baikal? Indeed, according to one of the hypotheses about the origin of UFOs, unknown objects may be the messengers of civilization from a parallel world.
Some ufologists believe that Baikal is a UFO base. Mirages of Baikal
From fishermen on Lake Baikal, one can hear amazing stories that ghostly visions of unfamiliar cities, trains passing over the surface of the lake, people appear over Lake Baikal. Secrets of the Circum-Baikal Railway
The Circum-Baikal Railway - an integral part of the Transsib under construction - is a construction monument of the early XX century. Dug in the rocks surrounding the southern tip of Lake Baikal, it is unique in its architecture and the difficulty of building all its 39 tunnels. Sometimes, according to eyewitnesses, ghosts can be found in these abandoned tunnels. And even during the day, many people feel uncomfortable near the tunnels. Most likely, the phenomenon of the spiritualization of inanimate objects by human energy manifested itself here. The tunnels of the Circum-Baikal Railway were built by many people of different nationalities, there were many specialists from Italy. The labor of workers and engineers, the thoughts and feelings of people could somehow be absorbed into the rocks. After all, it is not for nothing that some scientists believethat stones are able to record external information in their structure and, under certain conditions, can reproduce it.
The searchers who visited the tunnels said that they felt a special energy, and daredevils with the onset of dusk can see there figures of people in clothes from the beginning of the last century. Mikhail Dimov was a tireless researcher of the history of the construction of the Circum-Baikal Railway. This enthusiast has collected a huge amount of material on the topic of road construction. Working at one time as the director of a tourist center, Dimov continued to collect information about the construction of the Circum-Baikal Railway in the late 19th - early 20th centuries. In particular, he collected unique materials about the Italian specialists who took part in the construction.
Mountain of falling planes
Mount Shaman in the Severobaikalsk region has pronounced paranormal properties: people experienced unpleasant sensations here, planes flying over it had accidents. This can be explained by the fact that the mountain has long been a cult object of the local population. In the vicinity of the mountain there is an old cemetery, where shamans were buried since the 18th century. In the course of questioning local residents in Severobaikalsk, we learned a lot of interesting facts about Mount Shaman. It turns out that even before and during the Great Patriotic War, planes with military cargo flew over this peak. From time to time, the winged machines had accidents. And it is over Mount Shaman.
There was an episode from that wartime when an Evenk hunter rescued a wounded pilot from a plane that fell into a canyon near this fateful mountain. The remaining four crew members died in the fall. The pilot was wounded in the leg and waited for rescue for three days until the hunter came. After the war, aircraft flying over the summit continued to suffer accidents. One of these happened in 1982. Fortunately, the crew survived, and the plane was almost intact, but was trapped in a narrow canyon passage.
Mysterious animal
And in conclusion, about one more secret of Lake Baikal. Honored ecologist of Buryatia Matvey Shargaev believed that a large animal, akin to seals, unknown to science, lives in Baikal. Residents living near Lake Baikal, in particular in the Baikal, Kabansky regions, sometimes observed it: it showed only early in the morning and for a while came out of the water. Unlike the seal, the creature was much larger. Perhaps the mammal is also from the pinnipeds order and is similar to the Steller cow that was exterminated in the Far East in past centuries.
The late Matvey Shargaev and his associates, back in the 1980s, undertook expeditions to the shores of the lake to see the mysterious animal. But they never succeeded.
