Catarina Sequeira, 26, gave birth to a baby last Thursday after being pronounced dead. The pregnant woman's brain died, but her body was supported under life-support devices for three whole months, after which she underwent a cesarean section.
The boy Salvador was born, who was immediately dubbed the Wonder Child.
Catarina Segueira was active in sports and canoeing, but in December 2018, an acute asthma attack struck her right at home. When she was taken to the hospital, she was put into an artificial coma, but it was too late (paranormal-news.ru).
A few days later, Katarina's condition worsened and the doctors announced that due to prolonged oxygen deprivation, the woman's brain was irreversibly damaged. Katarina was pronounced virtually dead.
At the time of the attack, Katarina was in the 19th week of pregnancy and it was decided to keep her body under a ventilator for some time to allow the baby to "mature" in the womb.
The relatives of Katarina, as well as the father of the child, Bruno Sapolo, gave their consent to this.
Katharina lay there for 56 days, and when the 32nd week of pregnancy came, she had breathing problems even under the apparatus. And then it was decided to urgently do a cesarean.

The boy, who was named Salvador, was born safely and weighed 1.7 kg. Due to prematurity, he was immediately admitted to the neonatal unit, but it is reported that soon he will be allowed to be taken home.
This is the second time in Portugal that a child is born from a mother with a brain dead. The previous one was in 2016, and then the child spent 15 weeks in the womb of a dead mother.
Katarina's funeral took place in Portugal the other day.
