Two months ago, in the Indonesian city of Batam, a baby was born with a very rare anomaly, which is considered a type of Siamese twins.

The boy has one normal body with ordinary arms and legs, and one head, but there are two faces on the head, and inside the head there are two brains.

Most often, children born with such an anomaly die soon after birth, but this baby, unexpectedly for everyone, has already lived for two months.

Moreover, in addition to two-facedness, he suffers from hydrocephalus (fluid in the skull).

The child was given the double name Gulang Andika. Local doctors predict that he will die soon and say that they can do nothing, but the parents of the child, Ernlasari and Mustafa, are desperate to save their baby.

Due to his unusual condition, the two-faced infant cannot drink milk from the breast, so he is fed through a tube.

“The doctor just told me that the fetus's head is slightly enlarged and that it is in the buttocks down position,” cries Ernlasari.

Such an anomaly, when two-faced babies are born, doctors call the word - diprosopus or, scientifically, craniofacial duplication.

This is a very rare case of conjoined twins splicing. According to 2014 data, only 37 such cases were registered worldwide, and none of the babies lived longer than 2 months.
