Dinosaur eggs and an ancient pavement on the banks of the Nenets river Adzva. Such unique finds were made in his area by a resident of the distant village of Haruta in the NAO Mikhail Dolgin

Former geologist Mikhail Filippovich Dolgin has been fond of archaeological searches for 15 years. He explains his interest simply. “I am a very attentive person. I always try to notice something curious, unusual. We go fishing - everyone is fishing, and I am crawling on all fours along the shore, looking for something interesting."

Traveling around the outskirts of his native village Haruta, which is located in the Zapolyarny region of the NAO, he has already found many mysterious places, but it makes no sense to talk about them, according to an amateur researcher: “Come, take a look, take a picture and understand everything yourself”.

Temple

Although he shares stories about some of his finds with pleasure. This summer, once again getting out on a campaign, he found … the temple of the Hyperboreans. Hyperborea is a legendary northern country, the exact place of existence of which still causes a lot of controversy, the temple is a cult place of ancient people. On the Adzva River, 80 km from his village, he saw an interesting section of the bank, on which, if viewed from afar, the stones were not laid chaotically, but in a certain order, reminiscent of hand laying.

- In the same place I found a pavement, folded as if from hexagonal pencils. I do not know whether it was made by man or not, but what a rational creature is for sure, says a local archaeologist.

Not worse than Senkevich

He did not manage to find any objects in this place, so in the summer he plans to go there again to study the object in more detail.

Among the finds of Mikhail Dolgin are "fossilized dinosaur eggs." “When Senkevich was still alive, they showed his transmission from the valley of dinosaurs in Mongolia, in which he took their eggs out of the sand and showed them to viewers. I look, and they are exactly what I have constantly found and thrown away from us,”he says vividly.

We managed to save a few of them. One, which turned out to be split, was, according to him, no less than a soccer ball, the other four were smaller. Mikhail Filippovich sent these finds to Syktyvkar for research, but no protein substance was found there. "But could it have survived there for so many years?" He wonders. Interested in "dinosaur eggs" in the regional museum of the region, advised to bring them to show. Only until he got to Arkhangelsk.

What are dinosaurs?

Tatiana Zatulskaya, teacher of geology at PSU:

“During the Jurassic period - the heyday of dinosaurs - there was a sea in the NAO, so I doubt that they could have lived there. Most likely, these are silicon nodules, they are often found in our area. In principle, to begin with, it is enough to cut the stone to understand what is inside it. In structure, flint may resemble an egg, but nevertheless, experts, if it is really a dinosaur's egg, will be able to see the yolk, white, and shell there. Of course, it will not be possible to find any organic matter there, think for yourself, after all, about 200 million years have passed.

And the sites of people who lived on this territory several thousand years ago were found there."
