In the State Museum of Lower Saxony in Hanover, Murdoff's gold disc is kept. It is made of pure gold and is a miracle of ancient astronomy. For a long time he was considered just a talisman. But in early 2017, several European archaeologists studying it came to the conclusion that the disk depicts the movement of the planets of the solar system.

In the center of the circle is our star. There are 9 small compression cycles around it. It was assumed that if they correspond to the lunar months, then adding 100 lines of the next circular zone will give us 365 days, that is, the solar calendar.

But the subsequent sphere is 584 cycles, which corresponds to the motion of the planet Venus. Whereas the subsequent parts with engravings give the number 399. And this already refers to the motion of Jupiter.

Thus, they came to the conclusion that the ancient find dating back to 3,500 BC. nothing more than an astronomical calendar, where the three brightest bodies are indicated: the Sun, Venus and Jupiter.

In ancient times, these celestial objects were considered gods. Therefore, the disk, simultaneously with the calendar, also served as an amulet.

The sun was associated with the cosmic force of existence.

Venus is love and human reproduction.

Jupiter was endowed with a masculine power that regulated relationships in society.

But the most surprising thing for historians was the fact that the image of the planets on the gold disk is identical to the image on the "Cycladic frying pan".

This similarity, of course, gave rise to Greek scholars to believe that the ancient Greeks reached the shores of the Baltic and founded the Hellenic culture there. The official chronology does not allow revising this stereotype.

This is despite the fact that many gold finds with the image of the sun were found in the Baltic Sea region. Among them is the "solar carriage". This miniature sculpture also symbolizes the solar deity - Salt.

Moreover, the sun on a chariot is a common plot in the myths of the Indo-European peoples. This find dates back to the 18th-17th centuries. BC e., which is much older than the Etruscan chariots.

This was the date set for another sensational artifact - the celestial disc from Nebra.

In addition to the Sun, this disk depicts the Moon and the Pleiades constellation. For a long time, scientists doubted the authenticity of such an amazing artifact, but still, as a result of a thorough analysis, its antiquity was confirmed.

All these findings once again confirm the fact that a highly developed civilization existed in the Baltic Sea region. And it was from north to south, and not vice versa, that ancient technologies spread.
